Talk me through small changes you have made in your life that have mad a big difference particularly in terms of your mood/self esteem. Thanks

Started taking vitamins. I feel much better so was clearly lacking something. Getting outside as much as possible. Cutting out sugar. Keeping to a routine with bedtime and getting up. Having a notebook by my bed to jot down to do lists, stops me stressing at night.

Ooh! Good thread, OP. Place marking to read later.

Mine are, in no particular order:

Leaving ex.
Retraining so I could leave ex.
Not giving a shit what anyone thinks of me - be own my authentic self.
Improved my tribe, slightly, to get the right vibe and vice versa.
Reflect on my past, but embrace my future.
Focus on the things I want to receive and let go of in my life.
In the process of redecorating- budget not withstanding.

When I look at it like that, I've achieved a great deal. Grin And sure I've done more, though have slipped my mind at present.

Vitamin D gummies. My GP said I was badly deficient, but I hated the huge pills I was prescribed so I was lazy about taking them. Gummies are so delicious I look forward to taking one every morning. It’s made a huge difference to my mood.

I also moved from a dark flat with one small window with a tree in front of it, to a flat with floor to ceiling windows and a balcony. Exposure to sunshine all day is amazing!

Lost 3 stone in weight.

Mind-boggling

Oilyoilyoilgob · 30/05/2020 04:33

Walk every morning-some evenings too. Never did it before lockdown
Wear bigger knickers-much nicer for my bum 😀
Lose weight
Stop drinking
Start planting flowers out-love Seeing all different colours wherever I look!
Keep my bird feeders topped up

DoItDoItDoIt · 30/05/2020 06:12

Sorry, you said small changes, and I've included some big changes in my list. Grin

Pick one room each weekend and properly deep tidy/clean. Once we had done every room it makes general tidying much easier.

Give up sugar, I've started eating it again and notice the difference in mood, skin and energy. Time to cut it out after I finish my homemade ice cream.

Getting up before everyone else in the house for some quiet time to collect myself. Maybe yoga, maybe reading..... totally changes how I’m able to deal with things that day.

Invested time in my hobby - knitting. During lockdown I saw that a hobby is vital to wellbeing. I have spent time developing my skill level.

Stopped worrying about climbing the career ladder. I like my job, I like the flexibility it affords me and I have no desire to move on.

Walking for an hour every day, this has kept me sane during lockdown
Keeping a daily journal: what’s going on, what I’m thankful for
Saving rather than spending: less clutter in the house and I am grateful that we have a bit of a financial cushion while DP has no work.
