Menthol cigarettes : what (aside from vaping) is the alternative please?

I'll start by saying I understand this is not a popular subject, yes smoking is a terrible habit..... not ready at this time to give up , I won't bore you all with why - I need recommendations for alternatives please!?!

So.....

Now that menthol cigarettes are about to disappear from sale... those of you who do smoke these what are you buying instead please? I've tried a few alternatives and really not found anything I like at all.
I'm not feeling the vape thing at all, I'd prefer real cigarettes just not the overly strong type I've tried so far. What brands are a "lightweight" (DP's phrase not mine) smoke do you find?

When I started smoking they were widely seen as old woman granny cigarettes so it makes me laugh that one reason given for banning them is to discourage young people taking up the habit.

I smoke roll ups with menthol tips these days and afaik those are not banned, although poundland is the only place I've found them lately.

Right. I've got you with this, OP. I've just spent about a week perfecting my new menthol smoking set up

You need to buy new cigarettes that are called 'green filter' e.g. Lambert and Butler Green Fliter, JPS Green Filter etc.
The green filter cigarettes are menthol cigarettes with the white, more solid filter tip and less smokey papers wrapped around them than are used in normal cigs. They are basically menthol cigarettes with the menthol not added.

Then, as other posters have said, you need to get the Rizla menthol infusion sheets (the green ''Menthol Chill' packet are the stronger menthol flavour of the two that are available).

Once you have your green filter cigs and your menthol cards, you need to use two menthol cards in your cigarette packet. Slide one card down the back of the packet and one down the front of the packet so the cigs are getting the menthol front and back.
Then leave them overnight. I promise you, when you smoke one in the morning it will taste even better than the old menthols did. I'm actually preferring them to my old cigs!

You can definitely still buy the menthol filters for rollies in the poundshop right? I smoke too much on a night out every couple of months and those are my preference

No help to you OP but this is why I had to pack in smoking year ago. Couldn't bear the thought of no menthol's.
I'd have spent a fortune flying to Spain to stock up on Slims (my fave).
