To demand collection today or forget it?????

Put stuff on Freecycle, someone was supposed to collect after 6pm on Sunday.....didn't turn up! They rearranged for today between 12-1 (I'm a childminder so stayed in after that time in case were late, even though nice sunny day).....didn't turn up. Emailed the person who said their neighbour (this is who's collecting) said they came but no answer - I WAS in, I sit in front on window for lunch and they did NOT come here, either wrong house, wrong time or lied. I gave both home and mobile numbers so why no phonecall if they expected me to be in???

Emailed the person back saying forget it, waited til 2.30 and don't want to bother again. They said to please don't give up and that they will make sure they come round. I've emailed back saying TODAY or FORGET IT (put nicer than that).

So, AIBU for being pee'd off and saying that?

guildford is a huge freecycle and iv had about 12 emails already this am. maybe the websites down or something?

No, she's lost out now, too late!! I don't care if she turns up now, she can turn around and go back home!! I'm actually glad she didn't get here because I really didn't want her having it all in the end!!

Turned up, no apologies, "here to pick up bricks etc" I said "sorry, too late, got to go out" she said "can't we just load them in the car?" I said "no time, I didn't know if you were going to turn up, can't keep waiting for you" then she pulled a face and went off in a huff and I said as she left "and you were very rude on the phone!"

Just phoned hubby and he can't believe I did it (I'm normally far too polite and soft) and he said "well done". We don't care we've got to re-advertise, it's the fact she does NOT deserve it all! BITCH Horrible lady!!!

I told hubby it's thanks to MN that I turned her away, I said I couldn't let her have them as I'd already told you lot she hadn't turned up!
