The thread with teachers has added some love back into a profession which is being highly criticised at the moment
Let's hear the naughtiest thing you did at school please?

Some pupils would draw pictures of body parts on the scrolling blackboards.
I stole some mercury and took it home in my lunch box Hmmwe used to get given it to roll around on little wooden boards in science.

You've posted a number of these "tell me your stories" threads in AIBU OP. Apart from the fact they're not AIBUs, it also makes you look like a journalist fishing for content.

cultkid · 30/04/2020 09:23

I'm not a journalist I use Mumsnet all the time 😭

They are feel good threads and a diversion from covid

I once changed all of the computer screensavers in the IT room at my all girls school to one of naked men, just from my computer Grin

It took them a couple of days to work out how to get them all removed.

ANoiseAnnoys · 30/04/2020 09:31

I wagged it, along with my bf, from double French on a Friday afternoon to go across the field and snog older boys from the 6th form college! They were only a year or two older but we felt so mature and decadent!

We used to roll out skirts right up at the waist and pile on lots of body shop dewberry perfume before we nipped out as well Grin

Brogley · 30/04/2020 09:33

In primary school we hid from a student teacher. She went out of the room to get something so while she was gone we climbed into cupboards, stood behind the curtains, lay under the cushions and blankets in the reading corner, crouched behind coats in the cloakroom so that when she came back it was to an empty classroom. We stayed hidden even when she called for us.

It was her first ever time in sole charge of a class.

She cried Blush

zozozoe · 30/04/2020 09:34

We started a secret snack shop selling sweets to other kids.

Tomorrowsanewday · 30/04/2020 09:43

In our cookery class we were making scones. The teacher went out of the room and the class decided they would throw the scone dough and stick it to the ceiling.
When the teacher came back there were dozens of lumps of dough stuck to the ceiling and naturally she went ballistic.
On this occasion I wasn’t involved as I loved my grub and wasn’t giving up my scones for anyone Blush

cultkid · 30/04/2020 09:43

I also put sellotape on the bottom of all the laser mice in the library and the librarian was so confused and called IT down 😂😂

Hid in maths teachers cupboard

We raided the school on our last day and our old headmaster was an ex vicar or whatever they are
We changed his office into a confession booth full of all our confessions from school

We were always getting drunk on lunch break too as were allowed out in 12th grade

We had a new history teacher Yr8 or 9. One lesson someone brought a ball of wool, and we passed it around the class wrapping it round ourselves and our chairs. The headmistress came in for some reason, and we always stood when she came into the room, so we did, and our chairs 'stood' with us. Nothing was said; teacher left at end of the year Girls' Grammar 1950s.

Summersunandoranges · 30/04/2020 09:49

About 20 of us took acid in our lunch hour Shock

MrsWooster · 30/04/2020 09:51

The class locked the German teacher in the stock cupboard... the dragon deputy headmistress used to come and stand in the corridor thereafter to keep an eye on us /her. When I became a teacher, much later in life, I realised how awful we had been...

tillyteatowel · 30/04/2020 09:56

We told our physics teacher that the Ofsted inspectors were immigration inspectors and he hid from them in the science cupboard.

We also locked a teacher out of his room - he was a bit wet and too embarrassed to tell the other staff (which kind of shows how that happened TBH)

French teacher angrily escorted a naughty classmate to the Head Of to be dealt with, whilst she was out the classroom we locked the door from the inside. Teacher returns, stomping down the corridor, and quite forcefully pushed the door, obviously wanting to enter with dramatic effect.

Well because it was locked, she full scale bounced off the door and landed on her backside.

Managed to get the french exchange teacher to teach us a whole range of very rude words, which we used during speaking sessions- I think she got into a lot of trouble.

Ordered a prefect badge online after being ceremoniously told by the Deputy Head I had not a hope in hells chance of being one... but my friends got to be. Managed to avoid her all year and enjoy the perks of being a prefect at lunch / breaks and no one questioned it.

I was a horror to my English teacher - full of attitude and general pain in the arse-ness. He must have really liked me though as he never actually reported me very far, organised a class card when I was in hospital, and asked me to reconsider leaving school to do what I had planned, and consider a writing / journalism career. I still enjoy writing, and if I ever do finish a book it’ll be dedicated to him!

Sparklfairy · 30/04/2020 10:55

Oh I've just thought of another one that wasn't me but a classmate.

Her dad had come back from the US and brought her back a fancy watch as a present. Amongst it's various wacky and fascinating functions was that it could be used as a remote control for a TV.

So when our Geography lesson rolled around as we were put in front of an 'educational' video, friend randomly remotely turned the TV off. Teacher was on the older side, maybe late fifties, early sixties, and not very tech savvy. Tried fiddling with the TV for a bit. Sighed, stood up with her hands on her hips. Friend turned the TV back on. Teacher looked surprised but sat down at her desk again. TV went off. This went on for ages on/off/on/off until the poor teacher was practically screaming in frustration and we were struggling to stifle our giggles.

To this day she has no idea what happened Blush

Same friend also used said watch to catch the light and reflect it constantly in another teacher's eyes. We could all see the rainbow tracking slowly across her face and then suddenly she would get dazzled and start squinting and trying to move but it kept following her Grin

God, we were awful!

firsttimemum30 · 30/04/2020 11:18

A boy was bullying me in junior school, I told a teacher but nothing happened so I told my dad. He taught me a bit of basic self defense kickboxing and the next day this boy started again. I warned him I would hit him if he continued so he followed me around the playground. I can't remember what he was saying specifically, I was about 9 or 10. He got right up in my face, gave me a little shove. I punched him in the mouth as hard as I could and knocked out his front teeth. I hope they were his baby teeth Blush

TheFuckingDogs · 30/04/2020 11:21

Bit outing but there was a school trip to large European city when I was 15. A big festival was taking place - friend and I absconded to the festival and we’re consequently “grounded” for the rest of the school trip. Also had cigarettes and booze confiscated 🙄

firsttimemum30 · 30/04/2020 11:26

@TheFuckingDogs sounds like my last year of high school trip to Paris Grin

squeekums · 30/04/2020 11:33

There was the time me and a mate climbed on the school roof, messed with teachers from above
Or the time me and a mate drank almost a whole bottle of vodka at lunch on the oval, then went to class
Or when I got an early minute for reading, truth is I was asleep behind my book, the kid next to me woke me
Got stoned many many times in the alley next to school, wagged more days than I attended in highschool

VirginWestCoast · 30/04/2020 11:54

I bit the school's priest during our primary school nativity play.
I was one of four narrators and there was a bit of a mix up as to who had what line. Ended up fighting with the boy next to me over the microphone, just when I got it off him and started to say my line (was probably his, thinking back), the school priest rushes over to grab the microphone off me. I just leaned forward and bit his arm.

SimonJT · 30/04/2020 11:55

I was awful at school, I think the only reasons I wasn’t expelled was my race (only family who weren’t white so maybe they thought it would look dodgy) and I was a very high achiever, they also knew I had a bad home life. I’m now on their Cambridge attendees list 😂 Despite being a nightmare in some ways I always worked hard in lesson and I was always polite to staff.

I used to sell cigarettes and later weed, I once took in a litre bottle of vodka and charged people per swig, I got caught for that one as a friend drank most of the bottle. He was sick all over Mrs Cooke.

I have type one diabetes so I often had to eat during lesson, there was one teacher I didn’t like and he’d had to apologise to me in year 8 because he called me ‘the ethnic’ so I would always eat really noisy things in his lesson like crisps or popping candy and keep my mouth open. Although once it was a bag of chips, curry sauce and a can of tizer.

JagerPlease · 30/04/2020 11:58

I was skiving from a lesson to go and smoke and needed to get past the window of the class that I was meant to be in so decided to crawl past. For some reason I thought it would be more subtle if someone rode on my back so it looked like they were just passing the window.

My wrist buckled under the weight and I fractured my elbow.

On a similar theme, I'd been smoking in one part of the school grounds and the door I'd gone out of had been locked so I had to jump off a wall onto a biffa bin to get to another door. Slipped on the lid of the bin, fell on the floor and fractured my wrist
