Assuming it was the last one you were to eat (eg you’re on death row), what would it be? Mine would be a steak tartare starter, seafood linguini main (with fresh lobster, shrimp, clams and crab) and a cheese board to finish.

OP posts:

@nevermoor yes a Christmas dinner! Turkey, gammon, roast potatoes, carrots, broccoli, green beans, Yorkshire puddings, pigs in blankets, stuffing with bread sauce and turkey gravy!!

Pudding either fresh cream chocolate Yule log or chocolate brownie and ice cream.

I wouldn't be bothered about a starter!

Ponoka7 · 25/04/2020 19:35

Starter, onion rings and southern fried chicken wings with garlic and a bbq dip.
Main: asda pizza, garlic base, veg and garlic oil with a garlic dip.
Desert: nutella waffle with strawberries and banana.
Peach Archers in lemonade to drink.

OmgThereAreNoPlanesAboveMeNow · 25/04/2020 19:38

Omg halloumi fries.

I am basically putting half of what you all are writing into my buffet😂

Flymetothetoon · 25/04/2020 19:40

Prawn cocktail starter

Sunday Roast with chicken AND beef AND Yorkshire puddings

Apple crumble and custard

Marahute · 25/04/2020 19:44

Pork crackling nibbles and a glass of fizz.

An amazing fish starter with octopus, calamari, sashimi, soft shell crab...

Surf and turf with blue fillet steak, the "surf" would be a bloody gigantic lobster, obviously.

Medley of deserts - crème Brulée, sticky toffee pudding (with all the custard), pavlova, and a whole mint vienetta.

Old Fashioned cocktails to finish.

JeSuisTresEcule · 25/04/2020 19:52

Ohthe yup I do.

berryhead2013 · 25/04/2020 19:53

Ten inch deep pan ASDA create your own pizza with garlic base steak pepperoni meatballs bacon onions and extra cheese
Or a Morrison's create your own with all the same except substitute the bacon for salami
It would be a tough choice thou as both stores have an excellent base but are good in different ways
I've thought about this too much haven't I 😂

SquigglePigs · 25/04/2020 19:56

A platter of Chinese starters (salt and pepper chicken wings, satay chicken, ribs, prawn toast, prawn crackers)

Either tandoori chicken, naan bread and veggie curry or a full roast chicken dinner with roast potatoes, mashed potatoes and awesome gravy - and I get the chicken wings!

Chocolate fondant with vanilla ice-cream

If there's any room after that then cheese and biscuits - white stilton and brie

With a glass of champagne to start, good wine matched to each course, port with the cheese, and a limoncello to round it all off.

Roominmyhouse · 25/04/2020 20:04

I’m torn between an Indian feast of poppadoms to start, then chicken saag, pilau rice, brinjal bhaji, saag aloo, pilau rice and a garlic naan. Then a lemon tart for pudding.

Or a big fat roast lamb dinner with loads of roasties and yorkshires followed by sticky toffee pudding and cream.

Or chicken wings, Jacobs ladder beef rib with fries and coleslaw and salted caramel cheesecake.

Pimmsypimms · 25/04/2020 20:14

Seafood Paella followed by creme brûlée and a bottle of Bollinger 😍

ChoppingBlock · 25/04/2020 20:18

Pizza. Lots and lots of pizza.

Nottherealslimshady · 25/04/2020 20:23

Starter would be TGI mushroom jack Daniel's strips. Main would be a vegetable thai red curry with chapati, popadoms, mango chutney, sweetcorn fritters, onion bhajis. Dessert would be a mega sundae with honeycomb, chocolate, butterscotch sauce. Then a cheeseboard 🤣 and unlimited purple rain cocktails throughout.

HopeYouStepOnALego · 25/04/2020 20:24

I'd request a champagne afternoon tea that must include freshly baked scones with clotted cream and jam, and a big wedge of carrot cake.

Herpesfreesince03 · 25/04/2020 20:25

If it’s a true death row last meal then I’d like to point out that for one you’re not allowed alcohol. Also that there’s a price limit, in Oklahoma you’re only allowed up to £12 so most of you won’t be getting those meals :)

maa1992 · 25/04/2020 20:25

DH's mash potatoes and Richmond sausages with peas and gravy (extra, extra mash)

I'm easily pleased lol

JovialNickname · 25/04/2020 20:53

Massive doom and gloom alert ... I've always wondered how anyone gets any pleasure out of their last meal, knowing (presumably!) they're going to die the next day? Is there a sort of off switch that allows you to think mmm, yummy burger and chips? If it was me I'd pick the most highly coloured, smelly food there was, knowing that my final act would be excreting the worst shit ever as I died and someone else would have to clean it up. (Yes I have been in lockdown that bit too long).

OmgThereAreNoPlanesAboveMeNow · 25/04/2020 21:00

@JovialNickname wait on death row is approx 15 years. Plenty of time to make a peace with it, I guess.
Also. Wow😂

OmgThereAreNoPlanesAboveMeNow · 25/04/2020 21:02

@Herpesfreesince03 what does that buy? A fucking happy meal?😱

Roominmyhouse · 25/04/2020 22:14

@Herpesfreesince03 that explains why so many of them seem to have KFC then!

JovialNickname · 25/04/2020 23:08

@OmgThereAreNoPlanesAboveMeNow yes I have probably overthought this! Maybe I should start a very depressing "Final Poo" thread instead Grin

TypingError · 25/04/2020 23:28

Like only one pp, if this was a genuine death row last meal, I doubt I could bring myself to eat.
If it's couched in terms of what's your favourite meal it's definitely an Indian feast with as much champagne as I could neck.

artistformerlyknownas · 26/04/2020 11:19

I've always found these fascinating!

soyummy.com/most-extravagant-last-meals-on-death-row

(Lots of these are worth far more than £12 so we might have a chance at getting our fancy meals!)

millerjane · 26/04/2020 11:32

"Ortolan'

Hope that was a joke Angry

MinnieAnonyMouse · 26/04/2020 12:00

I'd want a buffet of basically most of these things (I'm indecisive). Plate of mixed seafood. Chinese dim sum. Thai curry. Paella. Steak with fat chips and Diane sauce. Pizza. Lasagne. Yorkshire puddings. Fish and chips with curry sauce abd scraps. Fried chicken. Duck breast with red cabbage. Bubble and squeak. Chocolate mousse. That amazing dessert I had once in that lush restaurant which bastarding shut down. Profiteroles.

I'd then be so fat and bloated I wouldn't care. Oh and lashings of pornstar martini to wash it all down with.

momtoolliex · 26/04/2020 12:05

Duck pancakes from the Chinese for a starter
Red Thai curry with rice and chips for a main
Warm chocolate chip cookie dough with ice cream for dessert
Washed down with a bottle of coke

I'm hungry now Grin
