Assuming it was the last one you were to eat (eg you’re on death row), what would it be? Mine would be a steak tartare starter, seafood linguini main (with fresh lobster, shrimp, clams and crab) and a cheese board to finish.

OP posts:
SeamstressfromTreacleMineRoad · 25/04/2020 18:26

No starter. Proper fish and chips (with batter bits) from the Black Country living museum.
Home-made sherry trifle. I'd die happy...! Grin

iklboo · 25/04/2020 18:29

Nothing that would condemn an innocent animal to die.

Oh the irony given the subject of the thread.

Nothing that would condemn an innocent animal to die.

Ok - a guilty ortolan

BlueJava · 25/04/2020 18:31

A double patty burger with blue cheese and triple cooked chips.

Waitingforadulthood · 25/04/2020 18:33

Steak tartare or carpaccio for starters

Scallops with pea purée and black pudding crumb for fish course

Pink duck breast with mash chargrilled broccoli and red wine
sauce main

Ginger and white chocolate cheese cake desert

Cheese board with port to finish

recrudescence · 25/04/2020 18:33

Apart from the poster who wants their last meal sourced from Morrison’s, I think you all may be overestimating the skills of your prison chefs.

Home made canapes for starters followed by full Christmas dinner as main course.

A beautiful souffle for dessert.

Lots of Champagne

iklboo · 25/04/2020 18:36

@recrudescence - oh definitely. We'd probably get deep fried cockroach and fries really.

PervyMuskrat · 25/04/2020 18:38

Baked mushroom with Stilton and bacon with a glass of Taittinget

Steak, dauphinoise potatoes with carrots and asparagus and proper onion rings with a full bodied Shiraz

My Nan’s apple pie with quality vanilla ice cream (she’s been dead over 20 years and il still dream about her pie)

Port

MrsBungle · 25/04/2020 18:39

Lobster here too. With big fat chips, salad and a lovely aoli. Loads of Prosecco.

Caramel78 · 25/04/2020 18:41

Salt and chilli squid to start

A bacon cheeseburger on brioche bun with gherkins and ketchup with a side of halloumi fries and normal fries.

A platter of desserts including chocolate mousse, trifle, banoffee pie, tiramisu and apple and blackberry crumble.

Drink would be a hot chocolate with cream and marshmallows.

artistformerlyknownas · 25/04/2020 18:43

Oysters to start, if I'm dying in oyster season, otherwise tuna ceviche

Chicken breast wrapped in bacon with peppercorn sauce, roast baby potatoes, broccoli, and asparagus

Chocolate fudge cake with fresh strawberries and honeycomb ice cream

Lots of champagne

Treaclepie19 · 25/04/2020 18:44

Caprese salad starter
Fillet steak, chips, grilled tomato, tenderstem and onion rings with peppercorn sauce
Chocolate brownie and cream

OM.

BernadetteRostankowskiWolowitz · 25/04/2020 18:44

A massive board full of cheeses, bread and oils, cured meats, olives, chutney, smoked salmon, stuffed vine leaves and peppers.
And a bottle of prosecco on the side.

Ninkanink · 25/04/2020 18:44

Ohhhh a platter of oysters! With a big bowl of perfect French fries on the side.

Or, a spread of Japanese, Chinese and Korean.

Maybe a bbq suckling pig, Filipino style...

Actually I’d just ask Mikey Chen to decide for me!

So many delicious things.

If I was going nostalgic, I’d have frikadeller like my grandmother used to make them, Danish hotdogs with all the trimmings, a traditional Danish Christmas flæskesteg, a Danish Julemiddag, a Danish layercake and some æbleskiver to finish.

Treaclepie19 · 25/04/2020 18:44

Oh and drinks would be prosecco 🥂

Tinypaws2 · 25/04/2020 18:48

Nachos to start
Beef chow mein, boiled rice, curry sauce and chips for main
Chocolate cake with ice cream for dessert.

I could do eat a chinese now but no where is open near me.

Bubbletrouble43 · 25/04/2020 18:54

Full roast beef dinner with really strong horseradish sauce, crispy roast potatoes, homemade Yorkshire puddings and a selection of veg including cauliflower cheese. Washed down with half a bottle of pinot noir.

Bubbletrouble43 · 25/04/2020 18:55

Oh we get pudding! New York cheesecake ( I once ate a whole one)

susandelgado · 25/04/2020 19:03

Fresh crusty bread with butter and some continental cheeses 😊

Warsawa31 · 25/04/2020 19:09

Calamari with garlic sauce for starter

Meat and potato pierogi with bacon Lardons and pork fat (I’m polish lol)

Warm chocolate Cookie dough with vanilla ice cream.

Full fat coca Cola with ice.

Pack of 20 slimline vogue cigarettes

I’d need a very generous prison I guess

Starter: Scollops and black pudding
Main: Rib Eye (medium rare) fries, onion rings, mushrooms and Stilton sauce
Pudding: Warm chocolate brownie, butterscotch ice cream

Ohtherewearethen · 25/04/2020 19:28

Nothing that would condemn an innocent animal to die

Do you feel your comment was relevant, let alone interesting? Vegetarians/vegans eat meals too.

Mine would have to be baked camembert with rosemary and garlic with crusty bread and green grapes to start, a pallet-cleansing helping of halloumi fries, followed by ribeye steak with leek and stilton sauce, onion rings and sweet potato fries. Pudding would be, I think, Maltesers cheesecake with Bailey's cream. Washed down with a salted caramel milkshake and a bottle of New Zealand sauvignon blanc.
