The whole world is in lockdown pretty much and wouldn't it be wild if the reason for this is we are going to be contacted by aliens soon? Like there's really no point in ending lockdown and there seems to be some crazy things happening astronomically at the moment... When aliens are going to show up soon. What are your thoughts British mums on the interwebs? Capitalism will be ending soon because there's no point anymore guys, get ready for AI life. Gin

coldwarenigma · 11/04/2020 16:29

Been on the Wine ?

YouTheCat · 11/04/2020 16:29

Hahahaha

Sparklesocks · 11/04/2020 16:31

Keep watching the skies, OP.

In all honesty we’re such a mess I can’t imagine any higher being would want to make contact.

Snowflakes1122 · 11/04/2020 16:32

They can beam me up. Got to be better than earth right now Grin

ShinyMe · 11/04/2020 16:32

What 'crazy things' are happening astronomically at the moment?

birdsbeefriesandeggs · 11/04/2020 16:32

Your tin foil hat is waiting for you 😂

ohmysoul · 11/04/2020 16:33

OP you shouldn't drink alcohol in the sun for such a long time. Have a drink of water and a lie down in a dark room.

TimeAintNothing · 11/04/2020 16:34

Crazy thing happening astronomically = the moon was a bit pink the other day, obviously a message from the aliens.

clareOclareO · 11/04/2020 16:35

I doubt we'll hear from aliens any time soon. We're just not that interesting - no matter how advanced the technology they have to traverse vast distances or maybe even time, it's highly unlikely that they would choose to arrive here, now. Humans have been on this planet for a tiny fraction of its existence. It's only in the last 100 to 150 years that we have the technology to determine if they have arrived.

It's almost inevitable that there are highly advanced civilizations somewhere out there. But, why come here, now?

sweeneytoddsrazor · 11/04/2020 16:36

@ShinyMe in the last couple of weeks we have had (a few) people mistake Elon Musk's satellites for u.f.o. , a pink supermoon, and 3 near miss asteroids. Might be crazy enough for some.

Lex234 · 11/04/2020 16:40

Aliens: Aha there is life on that planet....its dominant life forms appear to be destroying their habitat with global warming, a killer virus is on the loose and a strange tangerine in a wig keeps saying the opposite of what is actually happening...this is a planet of interest! Let's visit!

Seems legit.

lizzzyyliveson · 11/04/2020 16:41

Haven't you people heard that interstellar comet Borisov has broken up? Also, comet Atlas may have fallen apart. These are strange tidings.

LegoBloodyHurts · 11/04/2020 16:43

It’s not tin foil hat to believe there is life out there.
However, I highly doubt they would come here and make themselves known. They probably took one look at us and though “What the fuck?!” And did a U turn back home.

WatchingFromTheWings · 11/04/2020 16:45

I genuinely don't see why there couldn't possibly be life forms on other plants or in other galaxies. Why would we humans be the only ones!?

Gigabitten · 11/04/2020 16:46

Unless they've got some sort of ray that can get of this proxy virus - they can bloody well stay where they are.

ButterbuttSquash · 11/04/2020 16:47

I fucking hope so. I’m SO BORED.

ShinyMe · 11/04/2020 16:49

Well, people mistaking satellites for UFOs are just ignorant. Pink moons happen every April, and asteroids miss us all the time, so none of those things are particularly significant in my opinion.

Samtsirch · 11/04/2020 16:49

OP have you been sterilising your fruit?
Or your teeth?
😂🤣😂

vodkaredbullgirl · 11/04/2020 16:51

They probably looking down on us and say "Fuck that, we not invading there"

ShouldWeChangeTheBulb · 11/04/2020 16:51

Aliens are not going to contact us. Why would they. We would just get very defensive and try and kill them.

iklboo · 11/04/2020 16:52

We're definitely not the only life forms in the universe. It would be beyond arrogant to think so. But to believe ET & his pals are popping by any time soon is a bit of a stretch. I mean. Social distancing, unnecessary journeys? He's looking at a massive fine if not a lock up!

TheVanguardSix · 11/04/2020 16:53

You know what, OP? You should try listening to Snake Jazz.

Sparklesocks · 11/04/2020 16:56

If they did come we might accidentally create War of the Worlds in real life and kill them all off with COVID19 😬

pinksmileysticker · 11/04/2020 17:05

Professional astronomer here. Comets tend to 'break up' as they approach Perihelion (move towards the Sun), due to the Sun's radiation causing intense sublimation and pressures on material which is basically, a dirty snowball. Nothing to see here, move along.
