Ocado are suspending their reserved order system

I’ve been using Ocado for 12yrs. We pay extra for a reserved pass. A week or so ago they emailed to say existing customers were priority and especially those with a reserved slot. Made a thing about supporting loyalty etc. Now today I’ve received an email telling me that not only is the delivering expecting tomorrow not coming but they’ve decided to suspend the reserved slots and it’s every (wo)man for themselves. Of course, there’s no slot available for weeks.
I’m angry and worried. Why not continue to prioritise those who have a set slot. Surely adding those thousands into the traffic of people desperately trying to get a slot will just make the situation worse? As soon as this is over I’ll be leaving them. No way will I continue to pay extra when they’ve behaved like this. How can they leave it until the day before to drop this on us? £150 a week plus the monthly fast pass fee to be treated like this. I wouldn’t even mind if they were on twitter holding their hands up but they’ve gone silent.

I got an email last week saying I would be able to look at slots for the next 7 days from today but just logged on and it’s only letting me see the next 3 days - which of course have nothing free...

They really need to sort both their IT and their communications out.

For me, I think it's more that there are no special offers. I often plan my shops and weekly food around special offers, or stock up on essentials when they're on sale, so without them I end up spending a lot more money.

It's actually looking cheaper and more convenient for me to buy from these new veg box suppliers (mostly they seem to be suppliers to the catering/restaurant business who now need to find a new market) and from local delis, which I would usually consider the more expensive option. Unfortunately though we are very used to getting certain essentials from Ocado -- I can't find a source of Nakd bars for the kids to snack on, our favourite vegan soft cheese, etc. I guess I will have to try some replacements.

It was said on the radio today that supermarkets in general were stopping special offers to discourage over buying.

I also got a message saying I would see 7 days ahead from a Tuesday; here I am at midnight, and I can only see 3 days ahead, with no availability. So it looks like this wasn’t true..

Have you clicked on the calendar icon? I can only see three days, but if I click on the calendar there are dates there highlighted

Yes, I’ve clicked on the calendar icon, which then shows me 3 days ringed by a green box. All days for the month are grey. Would love to hear is someone eventually having slot booking success after having seen this for a few days!

I’ve clicked on the calendar and I only see three days. At midnight the three days change.
I’ve got a delivery booked for Saturday but that is going to my mum and not me.
I’m hoping I can get one booked for a couple of weeks time.

@LevelPegging I got on after 4 days of just the grey calendar with 3 days highlighted.. I received the priority email last week and went straight in to find nothing showing at all. Local friends said they could see slots and were able to book them well after I got the email....

I kept constantly trying and nothing - had almost given up, tried last night on the off chance and suddenly there were several day’s available with quite a few slots.. early or late times but not complaining... grabbed one and checked out at breakneck speed scared I’d lose it again...

I had a Saturday am delivery booked ages ago and wonder if this had stopped me seeing slots.. who knows?! - their communication is woeful.

Having had the email telling me I’m a priority and will get a 10 day slot cycle (up from previous week’s 7 days), and then not having a single available slot in the highlighted calendar days, I randomly tried this morning (5 days after email) and there were a good handful of slots over the few days.
Very poor offering on fresh foods - no broccoli at all, etc etc. I’d prepared a trolley ready to check out and had to massively change it to accommodate what they had

Is it just me that finds Ocado okay then ? Maybe it varies from area to area depending on number of drivers. I got an email telling me that I am a priority customer, no doubt because I spend an obscene amount weekly. I have no trouble getting onto the site and in the top corner Ocado have reserved a slot 7 days after my previous delivery. I was able to change this easily. No broccoli but I’m supplementing my veg by getting deliveries from an organic online shop. My local supermarket is actually well stocked except tinned goods but I’m trying to go out as little as possible so prefer online.

Something has gone wrong with the site completely...I am getting an error message saying AccessDenied followed by a very long string of numbers.

Still all slots greyed our for me, with only 3 highlighted and not showing the promised 7 days ahead; I don’t have any future deliveries booked, and my last delivery was over a week ago.

Yep I'm the same as most others. Got an email saying I could book from Monday just gone and there were only 3 highlighted days in a green box, despite clicking on the calendar. Even when clicking on one of those days it does nothing, almost as if the page is frozen. I'll be asking for a partial refund of my whopping £140 per year for anytime smart pass deliveries. I'm high risk so would prefer not to go to the local supermarket but there may be no choice.

MissFlite and Honeywort If the site is still giving an error you might try removing the cache and/or cookies. Or just try another browser.

babypossum that is how it looks when there are no slots. I was getting some slots before but now I see what you see.

I do have a delivery booked for the 14th so in my case that may be why.

Just to update the good news that finally yesterday I was able to see the calendar properly and book a slot for today; a few substitutions, but mostly it arrived. And today I was able to book a slot for next Friday. Mightily relieved; fingers crossed that they have got some technological glitch sorted out now, and that you all have better luck too.

This is so irritating. Just had an email this evening saying:

"We consider you one of our most loyal customers, so we’re currently offering you one delivery every 7 days. You will also see slot availability up to three weeks ahead of time – so we encourage you to book multiple slots in advance to avoid disappointment.

As part of this group, you will go straight through to the website every time. If you have to queue at all, it won’t be for long."

Except, irritatingly, when I actually try to log on to the website I just get a message saying "If you are an existing customer, please log in. If you are returned to this page, you are not on the priority access list yet."

AAARGH. Has anyone else had the same email, and are they now able to get on the site? I can't at all, even to edit the order that is going to my mum's on Saturday...
