The Hardest Button to Button by the White Stripes. It was filmed on my old commute and they donated all the instruments they used in the video to local schools.

Dubdubdubtub · 14/03/2020 01:15

Pulp- Common People
Eltons John- Sacrifice, can’t watch it with getting tears in my eyes
Richard Marx- Hazard is a classic
Meatloaf- Not a dry eye in the house
And for some reason I really like REM- Shiny Happy People is just a real feel good song and video

Rubyupbeat · 14/03/2020 01:36

Linkin park - Lost in the echo
So haunting, so sad, and something I really craved for at the time it was released, probably what every person would want at some point, even with the consequences.

First song I thought of before even opening the thread was ‘crazy’
I also like ‘always’ by Bon jovi

MonkeyToesOfDoom · 14/03/2020 07:28

Hurt - Johnny Cash

Poignant, moving and heartbreaking.
(Warning: it is not cheerful at all....)

Apologies for lack of clicky link.

Stickybeaksid · 14/03/2020 08:24

Macklemore Downtown is brilliant.

BabyMoonPie · 14/03/2020 08:41

Reet petite by Jackie Wilson enthralled me when it came out. That was 30+ years ago and I still remember watching!

hanka · 14/03/2020 08:48

Anyone remember Rush Rush by Paula Abdul? My earliest crush on Keanu....

ZeldaPrincessOfHyrule · 14/03/2020 08:48

Just - Radiohead
Buddy Holly - Weezer

Also yes to Freak on a Leash, Smack My Bitch Up, Learn To Fly, Stan, Pretty Fly and Tribute

When I was a kid I loved the video to Sledgehammer by Peter Gabriel and Shiny Happy People by REM

Waves to autumn
I only discovered them last year...you know how YOLO used to be a thing, well my family always tease me with YOLLY or YOLLD - You only live last year/last decade, because I am always the last to hear something. Grin Very rarely am I ever ''I knew of x before they were famous'', it happens occasionally but rarely.
So...I discovered No/Black English because I finally got round to watching What we do in the shadows last year. A snippet of Leave the door wide open was in the movie/on the soundtrack and I fell in love.
El Prado was my favourite album last year...what, five years after its release?! Grin
I was very excited and thought Ooh I wonder if I can see them anywhere...to discover they are on hiatus/have split? This is just like me! But what an album.
I also saw Hunt for the wilderpeople last year, what a treat - Taika Waititi is so talented. I saw his film short too but still have Boy to watch on Prime. And Jojo rabbit when it comes out to rent. All good things come to those who wait!
I did see on Facebook that Bradley is touring now (but sadly not in the UK) and is performing some Bad English material with talks of a reunion at some point. I cannot find any Faux Prix material, releases or footage though?

Mötley Crüe Looks That Kill Grin

The make up. The leather. The hair. The cheesy pyrotechnics.

It shouldn’t work. It should be awful. But somehow it’s not.
To be fair, Vince Neil circa 1983 would give me fanny flutters no matter what Blush

AllTheseThingsThatIHaveNotDone · 14/03/2020 09:22

Ha! msvestibule that was me! Grin I adore that song and video. It cheers me up every time and I wasn't a huge Will Young fan nor did I find him attractive particularly but in that video, wow!
Watched it by fluke on a Saturday morning reading through Graudian's new releases and it made me chuckle. Will had said previously he didn't own any chaps or something. Rankin, who directed, is an amazing photographer and I had no idea he'd done music videos but that one is just very cleverly shot and amuses me especially the opening of the umbrella on the beat (or should that be bîte for any French speakers). Will also showed such humour being down for a laugh and I thought Good on you mate, you got your mojo back and then some. He also looks hot as, as the businessman, very Jude Law.

AllTheseThingsThatIHaveNotDone · 14/03/2020 10:00

I thought this was a very interesting video.

Bombay Bicycle Club - everything else has gone wrong

AllTheseThingsThatIHaveNotDone · 14/03/2020 10:07

Finally (for now at least, and sorry OP for monopolising your thread) I am a huge Killers fan (see username adapted to my procrastination!)
and I love the video to The Man, very cinematic (and various personas like Will's, I like club singer winking Brandon the best!)

MsVestibule · 14/03/2020 10:08

@AllTheseThingsThatIHaveNotDone You've given that Will Young video some serious thought 😀. I might have to go back and watch it again; for research purposes only, of course....

Binterested · 14/03/2020 10:09

Love the old movie stars Uptown Funk one. Will work my way through all of these. Great
