Dh constantly tells me I have big feet for a woman.

I’m a size 8 and 5ft9.

What size are you?

OP posts:
zukiecat · 23/02/2022 10:54

I'm about 5ft 3/4 and was always a size 6,

However for the past couple of years only a size 7 fits

evilharpy · 23/02/2022 10:57

5' 6", size 7 usually, sometimes a 6.5 or 7.5 depending on brand.

MadameHeisenberg · 23/02/2022 11:09

5’3” and size 3 or 4, depending on shoe, although mostly 4.

When I lived in the Philippines I struggled to find nice shoes in such a ‘large’ size. Shop assistants would be aghast at my big feet. Out there adult women are size 1 and 2!

Pushkinia · 23/02/2022 11:14

I’m 4 ft 11 and a size 2!

MyCatEatsPrawnCrackers · 23/02/2022 11:21

5ft 7in and EU size 42. I have had to stop buying footwear online as often a size 8 is now EU 41 which is too small.

TulipsGarden · 23/02/2022 11:24

5ft 5, size 6.5 or 7 feet. Euro 40. Seems fairly average really, my best mate is the same height and shoe size as me.

MillyMollyMandyMaybe · 23/02/2022 11:53

@Itwasntmeright

5ft2.5 and size 5.
I’m glad I’m not the only ‘five foot and a bit’ person who quotes their extra half-inch!
FeelTheRush · 23/02/2022 12:04

I’m 5’9 and have 4.5 size feet. I also have rubbish balance.

FastFood · 23/02/2022 12:06

5"5' / between 4,5 and 5 depending on brands.

WhyPaulMemory · 23/02/2022 12:14

5'9" and size 6.5 feet. Sounds like I'm slightly on the small side here! My DH has size 13 clodhoppers so I never get any comments about mine!

Exactly the same, mens size 8 though. I'm a 9 in Converse or Adidas.

I lived in both Japan and Korea for a while, and basically had to pray that my shoes would be fine and/or ask friends or family to send me care parcels, as I had NO CHANCE of finding shoes that fitted my enormous Western feet.

(Korea was marginally easier than Japan, especially Seoul where they have a small immigrant Western population, but madly expensive.)

pucelleauxblanchesmains · 23/02/2022 13:41

5'3-4 ish. Either a 4 or a 4.5 but mostly 4.5

Wilkolampshade · 23/02/2022 13:45

5'9 and an 8.

MmeHennyPenny · 23/02/2022 14:01

5’8
Size 4.5/5
I often fall over- my feet are too small for my height.
Narrow feet and ankles too.

thereisonlyoneofme · 23/02/2022 14:02

I was a size 7 1/2 at the age of 15 and it was nearly impossible to buy
shoes other than great clumpy ones, this was in the 60s and 70s. At least there is a better variety of the larger sizes now

AgeingDoc · 23/02/2022 14:02

I'm a 1.5. Finding shoes is a nightmare.

OneTC · 23/02/2022 14:16

5'1" male, size 5 or 6 shoes

Being forced to able to buy stuff from the kids section loses its novelty as you get older and want something other than obviously school shoes

StarlessSea123 · 23/02/2022 15:28

Usually a 7, sometimes an 8. I’m 5ft 11

FangsForTheMemory · 23/02/2022 15:33

size 8, 1m 62 tall
9 in hiking boots and trainers

Zazdar · 23/02/2022 15:33

Two, but a five for comfort.

5ft 6

FangsForTheMemory · 23/02/2022 15:33

I used to know someone who was 1m 75 tall and had size 2 feet.

MamaFlintstone · 29/01/2020 12:13

5’10” and size 8 feet. I used to think they were massive but if you spend any time around teenage girls their feet on average seem to definitely have got bigger - loads of them are 7, 8 and above!

Not just women but men too. I'm 6'6 and a UK size 16.

Kpo58 · 21/02/2026 14:36

I'm 5'10" with size 10.5. I'm fed up of having to buy my shoes from the men's section or pay a huge premium as apparently you cannot buy large women's shoes with much change from £100.
