To find my children annoying.....

Pat123dev · 21/01/2020 19:28

I love my children, but sometimes (read often), they just annoy the hell out of me. I try my best not to show it, but the eldest, 8 will come up and bounce in my face or copy what I say, 6 year asking 50 million questions....5 year your old just rolling around....it's all typical behaviour and they're often well behaved, and I live them too pieces. But I just find I sonetines want to say bugger off!! And they do something lovely and I feel bad lol.

Mine annoy me too! So much! Then they say or do something, or I see them asleep and I feel overwhelmingly guilty because I live them so much my heart literally aches. They are still fucking annoying at times though!

Pinkyponker · 21/01/2020 19:37

My 4 year old is incredibly annoying a lot of the time... The 2 year old isn't so annoying just yet but I feel it won't be long!

KenDoddsDogsDadsDead · 21/01/2020 19:43

I guarantee: your children are REALLY annoying.

Pipandmum · 21/01/2020 19:45

Yes any and everyone can be really annoying, even more so when family.

username00 · 21/01/2020 19:45

Mine annoy me immensely. Very normal

Ridingthegravytrain · 21/01/2020 19:47

God yes. And then the guilt. And so the cycle continues!

SecretWitch · 21/01/2020 19:49

I am annoyed by my and any other children frequently. The obligatory love then to bits included but they are so noisy and needy. My twelve year old does not stop talking ever. She even stands outside the loo to converse with me. Her friends are just as noisy and they all need to fed at every play date.

ActualHornist · 21/01/2020 19:52

Of course YANBU!

One of mine is being particularly annoying at the moment - every single thing I say to him at the moment is responded to with ‘what?’. Everything.

‘Mum can I have some ice cream please?’
‘Yes’
‘What?’

I want to scream!

Barbararara · 21/01/2020 19:57

Isn’t it our job to pull them up on these annoying things? I just see that as socialising them. Never occurred to me to feel guilty about it.

UnleashTheFury · 21/01/2020 19:57

I’d like one of those Hinch houses.
All nice and pretty and clean.

But my 3 kids leave a trail of destruction wherever they go. My house is a dump.

PPopsicle · 21/01/2020 19:59

You should watch the Michael McIntyre sketch...

“You’ll never love your children more than when they are breathing but unconscious”

Owlypants · 21/01/2020 20:08

My dc have grown up and left home but are still incredibly annoying. I think there's a book or secret lessons on how to be annoying, when I've told them to stop it the response is always "just doing my job"

Pat123dev · 21/01/2020 20:11

Thank God it's not just my children. 😂
Maybe knowing that I'm not alone, will give strength to hold back the ' will you just bugger off'....Grin

Ha! I often toyed with the idea of writing a post on this but was too afraid of the replies Blush

I find my almost four year old unbearably annoying at times often obviously she can be lovely but for the most part I want to run away from her! I was hoping it was a stage but it appears not 😭

Fatted · 21/01/2020 20:16

I love my DC. But they do manage to annoy the hell out of me. Mainly in the mornings when they do everything other than get ready for school.

mnahmnah · 21/01/2020 20:16

Here in solidarity! I teach annoying teenagers all day then come home to annoying, loud, in your face 3 and 8 year olds. My ears are ringing.

Delbelleber · 21/01/2020 20:25

I've just told dd to go to bed about 500 times Angry

Pinkypie86 · 21/01/2020 20:38

The 4 and 7 year old DDs DO NOT want to settle tonight - why?? No fucking clue!! Do I love them? More than anything!! Could I sit and cry, yep!

I was made to watch a 'Dancing show' earlier, that included Ed Sheeran's 'Perfect', DD7 prancing around the living room holding the Hamster ( that had been dropped on the carpet, twice!! ) doing her best 'routine', whilst said Hamster proceeded to shit himself all over the newly cleaned rug!!
FML... Where's the wine? Wink

Pat123dev · 21/01/2020 20:54

It's stuff like 'are we ready for school?', they say yes. Then just about to go out the door. Oh it's forest school today or oh I just need a pooh. FS.....
I know it's normal, I just want a little moan and to check I'm not the worst mother for being irrated by my children, who I would also die for lol.

I can’t think of anyone who doesn’t find their DC annoying at some point or another. My DS bores me senseless with football statistics and quiz me on them then goes off to wind up DD, eventually brushes his teeth with much wailing of ‘unfaaaaair!’ and then ai come downstairs to find apple cores and banana skins under the sofa Angry DD is very touchy-feely and is often sometimes a rude, cheeky little madam.

I then annoy myself telling them off!

SeasonallySnowyPeasant · 21/01/2020 21:06

Oops, format fail, sorry!

SimonJT · 21/01/2020 21:10

If he utters the phrase “lets pretend” one more time the tiny bit of sanity I have left will vanish forever.

Mog in bed was lovely tonight, just had a cuddle and kiss goodnight and about to leave the room “daddy i think i’ve done a poo” no, you know you’ve done a poo because you don’t like story be disturbed, you tried for a bloody poo five minutes, yes, five minutes before bed!

He will get out of bed at pretty much exactly 3am and get in my bed (which I like and isn’t a problem), but he’s developed a really annoying habit recently of talking complete rubbish for a good ten minutes when he gets in, just go the sleeeeeeppppp!!!!
