To bring up footner again on MN

Day 6 this morning (did the treatment Saturday night) and yesterday had some peeling but nothing like what I hoped for, and today my feet seem quite dry and not too peely. I do have quite hard skin on my heels and it's not that soft where I've already peeled.

Just need to know if the peeling will continue or is this really it!? Anyone else had it go like this?

Are you soaking them every night?

DontGoIntoTheLongGrass · 03/01/2020 07:14

Yes apparently soaking them really brings it off. I don't soak them but mine starts on day 3ish anyway. I want one now! Grin

TheSquitz · 03/01/2020 07:14

I was quite disalpointed with Footner. No massive peeling, but my skin dropped off in chunks for a few days.

thisusernameismine · 03/01/2020 07:16

I'm soaking as much as plug in when I shower (twice a day, after a workout and before bed).

Does the skin only peel once, or is it likely to peel again where it's already peeled?

I want the same effects as the most disgusting pictures I've seen. Took me a year to finally be brave enough to do it Grin

It's nearly time for my annual footner Grin
I dont even start to peel properly until about day 5 or 6 though, so be patient OP!

MiniGuinness · 03/01/2020 07:22

I would soak them properly, not just in the shower but long and hot. The rewards are immense.

TheSquitz · 03/01/2020 07:24

So when should the soaking begin? Maybe that's where I went wrong.

thisusernameismine · 03/01/2020 07:26

Thank you for the soaking tips! I shall do that! It's a bit disappointing so far to be honest Hmm

MiniGuinness · 03/01/2020 07:31

I soak for about an hour before the footner and then about an hour every evening, by about day 4 great swathes of skin are lifting off. It is one of my greatest pleasures tbh.

MiniGuinness · 03/01/2020 07:33

If I don't scrub (which I usually do because I am inpatient) the excess skin actually looks like a separate pair of weird skin shoes on top of my actual feet. Amazing.

MiniGuinness · 03/01/2020 07:34

Inpatient??? Yeah I really sound it! Impatient!!

shemakesmewaitonabedofnails · 03/01/2020 07:41

Omg what is this footner?? I need it!!

thisusernameismine · 03/01/2020 07:46

@shemakesmewaitonabedofnails it's something you only find out about on mumsnet Grin

honeyloops · 03/01/2020 07:47

Mine didn't start peeling properly until about a week in, and then they were DISGUSTING/fascinating for about 10 days after that. Be patient, the best is yet to come... Wink

SuperMumTum · 03/01/2020 07:47

Oooh. I'd forgotten about footner. Need one asap.

shemakesmewaitonabedofnails · 03/01/2020 07:50

God I've just googled. Looks amazing!! If you have to do it for 7-10 days, does that mean 7-10 pairs of socks!!?

Icantfind · 03/01/2020 07:50

Where do I buy these from?! I need to try them but normally only remember in the summer but understand that would be a big mistake!

thisusernameismine · 03/01/2020 07:54

@shemakesmewaitonabedofnails nope just once and then it works over time.

Feet are in hot hot water rn.

MT2017 · 03/01/2020 07:55

@shemakesmewaitonabedofnails
You use one pair of socks (provided) on day 1, then just soak your feet in water every day after that. The longer the soak, the better the results.

@icantfind Amazon and no, don't wait til summer - do them before that so your feet look lovely!

AllYouGoodGoodPeople · 03/01/2020 07:55

My went from still being stuck on to coming off in sheets after a 30 minute soak. Unfortunately that 'soak' was in the swimming pool and I ended up leaving (what felt like) 30% of my body mass behind in the pool, on the steps, all over the showers, in the cubicle as my feet slowly disintegrated Shock

JayAlfredPrufrock · 03/01/2020 07:55

So do you just wear the socks once then all this happens?

saltysally · 03/01/2020 07:57

Warning: despite the great initial result, my feet ended up worse from Footner. I moisturised well when the peeling stopped but it didn't help. Never ever again.

saltysally · 03/01/2020 07:58

There peeling will happen, OP. The skin may feel tight and dry first

shemakesmewaitonabedofnails · 03/01/2020 08:22

@AllYouGoodGoodPeople hahahahaha 😂😂😂 love that!! (Unless we swim in the same pool!).

shemakesmewaitonabedofnails · 03/01/2020 08:22

I've ordered some socks!! Yay! Thank you!!
