Phone in my face colleague....

Colleague of mine, nice as she is, has a habit of shoving her phone right in my face when I'm mid-sentence if she's not interested in what I'm saying. It'll be yet another picture of her daughter/text about someone I don't know and I'm supposed to completely change tack and start talking about that instead....would IBU to tell her that next time she interrupts me with phone in face thing I will shove it up her arse?

Yes, that’s rude of her, but may be you are incredibly boring

Maybe we should live in a world where people don't whip out their phone as soon as they lose interest or think there's something better they should be doing.

Put your hand over the phone and gently push it away while shaking your head slightly and continuing your conversation. You won't need to do it more than once or twice.

If she does persist, then explain to her where and how to insert it. I recommend sideways for maximum effect.

Take it out of her hand, place it face down in the desk and carry on with whatever you were saying/doing

Does she do it whatever the topic you are discussing or have you spotted a pattern?

Deal with it as you would a toddler.

My little sister does this. I keep talking and gently push the phone away. She sulks. Still does it. What can you do!

Do a Boris on her. Refuse to look at it, keep talking about whatever you want then take it off her and put it in your pocket.

I'm surprised you haven't done it already tbh, hate interrupters in general but that's next level interruption, so rude, she may as well just say, I have absolutely no interest in what you have to say

Coworker doesn’t sound very nice to me OP. I’d just walk away.

Is this when you are discussing work stuff? It's not good generally, but if she does this when discussing work, I think you need to knock that on the head.
