Baby is 7 months. Not sure on weight exactly. In size 4 pampers air dry. Without fail baby leaks EVERY single night. I’ve tried the nappy pants incase I wasn’t doing them up right but just the same! I’ve thought if the 4s are too big but the 3s are SO small. I’m considering trying another brand? I’m not sure what to do but each morning getting baby out of sleep bag it’s not fair on baby to be wet but no idea why it’s happening! It’s normally always on baby’s right side. Can anyone please help? Ftm and lost! Also posted in here for traffic.

Hi Op I've found with pampers you've always got to up the next size pretty fast my DD is 9 months old and in size 6 pampers pants and it won't be long before they become too small and she will need to go into the size 7s it's because she has chunky thighs bless so they don't fit so well

I am wondering whether to try her on a different brand currently my DS who's older is using ASDAs little angel nappy pants and Aldi nappy pants and both brands seem good and to be doing the job so I may try either of these for my DD

Pampers baby dry nappy pants in the size above DS's usual daytime nappy size worked for us. Maybe try another brand if that's what you already use. Agree with pp though that a vest that is too small will start to wedgie and cause leaks out the side.

Use the plus size are t they more absorbent?

I always found that although aldi nappies are great, their nappy pants leaked everywhere and pampers were much better. Goes against the majority on this thread though - maybe I have an odd shaped baby...

Pampers are awful nappies and always leak as soon as we started using Aldi or other supermarket own brands the leaks stopped - Pampers are the biggest waste of money in my
Opinion

I seem to be in a minority liking pampers! DS has never had a nappy rash and never leaked through either the nappy pants or ordinary nappies...he leaked through asda, boots own, tescos and lidl nappies seemed to react to his wee and I could smell a wet nappy from the other end of the house!

notfromstepford · 09/12/2019 15:20

@SuperSimpleSnogs - I found the same which is why I had to keep using pampers even though they cost so much more!

NoIDontWatchLoveIsland · 09/12/2019 15:25

Pampers are overpriced rubbish! .

Try sainsburys or asda own.

Or even better try washables. I use gnappies with little lamb bamboo & fleece boosters, having used disposables for DC1, im now a massive convert to washables

This was us every night too, didn’t matter what brand, what size - leaks each and every night until I found a tip on the good old internet.

I line DSs night time nappy with a sanitary pad (the thickest you can find, we ended up using adult incontinence pads for ‘moderate bladder weakness’ but we also tried maternity pad) and to date we’ve never had another leak.

You just have to make sure the edges of the pad are inside the little wings inside the nappy. From what I can see, the pad gets filled up then the overflow is caught by the nappy. No issues with nappy rash or anything either, the nappy is very fully but dry to the touch in the morning.
