Baby is 7 months. Not sure on weight exactly. In size 4 pampers air dry. Without fail baby leaks EVERY single night. I’ve tried the nappy pants incase I wasn’t doing them up right but just the same! I’ve thought if the 4s are too big but the 3s are SO small. I’m considering trying another brand? I’m not sure what to do but each morning getting baby out of sleep bag it’s not fair on baby to be wet but no idea why it’s happening! It’s normally always on baby’s right side. Can anyone please help? Ftm and lost! Also posted in here for traffic.

I use reusable nappies, so not much help really, but if you have fleece pyjamas or sleepsuit that can help keep the bed dry and your baby more comfortable.

PlushPlush · 09/12/2019 10:45

Just try some different brands. Tesco ones work well for us

Confrontayshunme · 09/12/2019 10:48

Aldi ones seem to hold TONS at night. I found pampers and sainsburys leaked at night. With first baby, I always wondered when to move up sizes and realised it was 4-5 nights of wet pyjamas. If they leak, go up a size. In 4s you can usually get a 4+ which is if they leak but aren't size 5.

Eggies · 09/12/2019 10:48

I have an 8mo we use very cheap brands, Tesco, asda, lidl. Only had a handful of leaks ever and he's very active in the night.

Thebig3 · 09/12/2019 10:51

I found you have to try a few different brand to find the best for your baby. As annoying as that is. My first 2 used aldi ones and it they were great. My 3rd just constantly leaked in aldi ones so we use pampers for him and they work great!

mynameiscalypso · 09/12/2019 10:52

I've found that leaking at night means that the nappy is too small - it's always been a sign for us that baby needs to move up a size. FWIW, DS is just under 4 months and he's happily in size 3 nappies and I expect him to move up in a month or so.

sleepymummy2019 · 09/12/2019 10:54

I use cloth nappies and very very rarely leak. Might be worth considering?

Have you tried the 4+ or even a 5?

BunloafAndCrumpets · 09/12/2019 10:56

If leaking at night, go up a size! Then try different brands. My baby drinks loads though the night and is now in size 7 disposables with a hemp booster (we cloth through the day) it's just about working! 😅 good luck.

StepAwayFromGoogle · 09/12/2019 10:57

Yes, try the 4+, OP. Aldi nappies worked the best for us...

albus55 · 09/12/2019 11:15

Pampers are awful. Try Aldi or Tesco

Bobbysgal · 09/12/2019 11:29

Until a few weeks ago, I'd have told you Asda little angels. They've now changed them and they are crap! My boys are both in 4/4+ (2y old and 9m old, one is teeny, one massive for their ages!) and last all night with no leaks in Aldi/Lidl

MustardScreams · 09/12/2019 11:30

Pampers are shite beyond the first few weeks.

Try Aldi, Ocado own or Sainsbury’s own. All miles better than Pampers.

Anyoed · 09/12/2019 11:35

So I found pampers were rubbish. Lidil were great and cheap. Also is baby girl or boy. My son had a problem but with good position of his private everything was good of u no what I mean. Blush

SuperSimpleSnogs · 09/12/2019 11:43

7 months was when my DS went from size 4 to size 5! He wasnt leaking (hasnt since we changed to pampers from supermarket brands) but hes chunky round the bum and hips. Try 4+ or 5?

HunterAngel · 09/12/2019 11:48

I mostly use Tesco’s little rascals nappies and have never had a leaky one. Aldi’s are good too

Marshmallow91 · 09/12/2019 11:53

My baby is at the lightest end of size 3. I put her in size 5 at night and never had a leak

sunshinekids · 09/12/2019 11:57

Try a pull up style nappy over the top of a size 4+, we had to do that for a while and it worked well.

manorroee · 09/12/2019 11:59

Pampers premium protection

emwithme · 09/12/2019 12:10

How's the vest for size? We leak if the vest needs to be bigger, as there's not enough room for the nappy to expand.

I was coming on to say this.

JJSS123 · 09/12/2019 12:26

Thanks so much everyone. VERY interesting about the vests! He’s due the next size soon so will order them now! Will also get some Aldi next size today. Thank you everyone

Try the 5+. The "+" doesn't refer to size, it's absorption i believe. Always had mine in the "+" versions and very, very rarely leaked. And when they did it was mostly my fault (frills not out all the way round).

TheArtfulScreamer1 · 09/12/2019 13:00

Pampers are awful they give my DD a sore bum we use Aldi ultra dry and they are great 12 hours plus overnight and no leaks.

Littlemissdaredevil · 09/12/2019 13:04

Can you try a 4+? I used Aldi, Tesco and Boots for my 11 hours a night sleeping baby and they were full to bursting but didn’t leak
