So I currently have an iPhone 7 and I'm considering changing to Huawei P30 Pro.

I would love to hear from others who have gone from iPhone to huawei!

Is it easy to make the change? Is it easy to use? Do you regret leaving iPhone?

I just think iPhones are a rip off and the lack of storage drives me insane Confused

My dp went to hauwei after always owning an iPhone and he hated it, he’s just gone back to iPhone even though he couldn’t really afford to so I guess he really wasn’t a fan 🤷🏻‍♀️

coldlighthappier · 06/12/2019 17:52

I actually really liked my Huawei and I think they’re actually better than the iPhones I’ve had previously. But some people just prefer the set up of iPhones to other phones so I guess it is really totally down to personal preference/budget (I’ve no idea how much they cost in comparison to each other btw)

I have the P20 Lite and have absolutely no regrets whatsoever. I particularly enjoy not having to charge my phone every 20 minutes or it cutting out randomly on 40% battery. And being able to have more than 3 apps before the storage warning pops up.

QuestionableMouse · 06/12/2019 17:55

I have a P20 Pro and love it. Battery is good, takes quality pics and lots of storage.

Harp1977 · 06/12/2019 17:57

P30 owner, switch from iPhone. I love my ph will never go back to apple. I had no issue with the change but I was used to android through work. They are very different in small but funny ways which surprised me.

Harp1977 · 06/12/2019 17:58

Yes it ia all the storage and having a memory card is great. I also love the quality of the camera

StoorieHoose · 06/12/2019 17:59

I did and I love my P20. They are great phones and I'm sure apple know that they are the main competitors to them

Battery is outstanding and while it might take you a bit to get used to the only thing I miss from an iPhone is not being able to tap the top of the screen to jump back up to the top of the screen

meow1989 · 06/12/2019 18:01

I didnt go Huawei but did swap from an iPhone to a Samsung Galaxy s9 and love it, wouldnt go back as price for apple is silly money.

Curious2468 · 06/12/2019 18:03

My husband hated his Huawei and paid to upgrade early

PurpleFrames · 06/12/2019 18:04

I wouldn't recommend is because as far as I know google apps and WhatsApp won't be able to work soon due to the American sanctions

Gobelinoisawitchescat · 06/12/2019 18:05

Dh switched about a year ago and raves about it... however more recently he’s been eyeing up my iPhone again.

Dontstopnow · 06/12/2019 18:08

I have a Huawei Honor and I love it. Will never go back to iPhone.

44PumpLane · 06/12/2019 18:10

I switched to a P20 Pro.

The initial switch over was slightly painful as I attempted to port my WhatsApp conversations which turned out to not be possibke at the time. But honestly I wouldn't go back. When I'm due an upgrade it'll be to another Huawei.... The camera is amazing, storage and and battery performance absolutely outstrip anything from apple for significantly less money.

I believe the US sanctions aren't going to impact international users (although I did stop reading about it a while ago as I figured since I already had the phone I'd just wait and see).

PleasantVille · 06/12/2019 18:15

So we have one poster's DH who loves the phone and another poster's DH who hates it - how is the views of strangers' husbands any use to you?

No one can tell you if you'll like a particular phone, maybe ask an actual real life person who has one if you could try it and see for yourself.

Wattagoose90 · 06/12/2019 18:15

Switched from iPhone to Huawei, spent the first day and a half thinking I'd made a terrible mistake but now I'd never ever go back.

Camera is phenomenonal, it takes less than an hour for a full charge which easily lasts over 2 days assuming I'm not using it constantly. The storage is great. Loads of other pros too, but they're my main ones.

Panicmode1 · 06/12/2019 18:20

I love my Huawei - everyone in the family has one now, bar DH, who will probably switch (from an iPhone) at the end of his contract. Battery life, storage and camera are my three biggest loves....

Roussette · 06/12/2019 18:26

I wouldn't go Huawei because of their security issues but I would never ever change from Android. My friend has had two or is it three iPhones in the time I've had my OnePlus

Dash charge... 0 - 100% in about half an hour.
Battery life is amazing
Very little bloatware

Celebelly · 06/12/2019 18:26

DP switched to his from an iPhone and really likes it

CastleCrasher · 06/12/2019 18:31

I'm on my third Huawei now, love them

lynzpynz · 06/12/2019 18:33

I went from iPhone 6 to Huawei and it took me a week to figure out the differences but so glad I switched. Camera alone is sooo much better than iPhone. Only problem I had was trying to get photos off icloud and onto my new Huawei - it can be done but by christ apple so not make it easy for you!!

MarieG10 · 06/12/2019 18:33

What will you do when google withdrawn all access to Android due to the America's trade restrictions in Chinese companies? Means your phone will quickly become useless and you will end up with the homegrown Chinese software system they are developing

Aderyn19 · 06/12/2019 18:39

I love mine but I would hold off buying it now until I see how the Google thing goes.
It's a cracking phone though, for hardly any money. I'd love to get another one at the end of my contract so hope the Google thing works out.

Spamantha · 06/12/2019 18:41

To an extent it's what you're used to. iPhone is simpler out of the box. I went from Android to iPhone (work bought me the iPhone). After a year I'm going back to android because I'm unimpressed with the iPhone (save for the camera).

Haven't tried Huawei though.

pontiouspilates · 06/12/2019 18:44

I switched a year ago. I love my Huwawai and wouldn't bother with an iPhone again. Battery life is excellent, camera fantastic and it has a tonne of storage.

Notthecarwashagain · 06/12/2019 18:45

I have the Honor, had an iphone before.

I love it, takes brilliant photos, easy to use, and holds the battery really well. Has face recognition and the fingerprint thing. Can download loads of apps without having to delete one to add one (which happened with my iphone!)
The only negative I have with it, is that the screen seems v sensitive so when I'm holding it to my ear, it's randomly scrolling through my calendar or something!
