Hello, just realised that I can now change my settings so I can have all 1,000 posts of a thread on one page.

Has this change been rolled out to everyone or have I entered some hallowed tier of MN? Grin

OP posts:
sweeneytoddsrazor · 03/12/2019 19:50

I thought you were going to say you had started reading Middlemarch or something Grin

UnaCorda · 03/12/2019 19:53

I was thinking Lord of the Rings. Or War and Peace. (Or possibly 50 Shades.)

DesMartinsPetCat · 03/12/2019 19:55

That settings has been there a long time. Think I found it maybe 5 years ago. I love it.

Perisoire · 03/12/2019 23:27

Haha ... what about A Suitable Boy? Is that still the longest book ever?

Disappointed to know I haven't entered the upper echelons of MN forums. Sad

Please could someone tell me how to do this, I cant see an option

RonniePickering · 03/12/2019 23:49

Go into talk at the top left of the page, click the little arrow pointing down, go into customise and the option to set pages is there.

Monty27 · 03/12/2019 23:50

Tap into customise there's a Mumsnet icon where you'll find it. Change your settings there.

badguyduh · 03/12/2019 23:52

It's great, isn't it. Although everyone always says refers to threads being "25 pages long" or whatever (or "as posted on page 12") so I assume hardly anyone has this set up!

SpoonBlender · 04/12/2019 00:40

Mine maxes out at 100. Waa!

mokapot · 04/12/2019 00:59

Omg
Thanks @Perisoire

ActualFemale · 04/12/2019 01:06

I've had that setting turned in for as long as I can remember as well as having the OPs posts highlighted so when I see a thread is 400 posts long and everyone keeps resorting the same stuff to the OP cos they've not read Boston's the very post it makes scrolling to see OPs answer so much easier.

IWantADifferentName · 04/12/2019 05:23

I’m stuck at 100 and have been since I reregistered Sad.

Was there a typo in the OP or is 1000 really possible?

TanteRose · 04/12/2019 05:37

always had that as my default page setting - up to the max of a 1000 posts per page for the last 14 years Smile

CountFosco · 04/12/2019 05:42

I've had this set up forever (along with highlighting both the OPs and my messages) and it always confuses me when people talk about 'X's reply on page 7'. Youwhat?

Aridane · 04/12/2019 06:11

This comes up,fairly frequently on Site Stuff.

Mine is on 1,000 - apparently newer posters do not have the option to select 1,000

granof3 · 04/12/2019 06:25

That's how I get through the night!

It's definitely 1,000. Which is strange because when I joined it was 100 only, that's why I thought MN had rolled 1,000 to everyone.

Aridane · 04/12/2019 07:53

When did you join Mumsnet ?

SurpriseSparDay · 04/12/2019 07:53

I’ve had 1000 posts as default since I joined 8 or 9 years ago. Brew

Also have mine and the OP’s posts highlighted. Halo

Also feel murderous towards people who have not only not RTFT but not even bothered to read the OP’s updates. Crown Angry

Aridane · 04/12/2019 07:58

If you registered after 25th January 2015, the maximum number of posts you can see at a time is 100 [sas]

[sas] was supposed to be [ sas ] Sad

PenelopeFlintstone · 04/12/2019 07:59

OP, I didn’t know about this. I’ve just changed mine to 1000 and I thank you!!

Evening, folks. Yes, the OP is correct. Since January 25th this year anyone who registered is only able to view 100 posts at a time we're afraid

PenelopeFlintstone · 04/12/2019 08:02

I’m so glad I was before the 25 Jan 2015. Not meaning to rub salt in the wound for anyone 😬

dragonsandfairies · 04/12/2019 08:32

I have the 1000 posts but am unable to highlight OP posts theres just no option for it in customise
