I've lost a stone and it's not noticeable?

I've lost a stone and I really can't notice it (I even took pics from when I started my journey to compare). Also nobody has commented on my weight (not that they should) but I would have thought somebody would at least say I look good. I started at 11st. Now 10st. Aiming for 9st. I am 5ft 4". I've worked so hard to lose this weight too! Need words of encouragement please!

I find it so confusing that anybody would want aquaintances to notice weight loss let alone mention it

Really? I don't find it confusing at all. Loosing weight takes time and effort. For many it's bloody hard work. So people like to be congratulated on an achievement. It's fine if you don't know the person is dieting, and don't know them will enough to comment, but if you do know them and you do know they are dieting, I don't understand why people would deliberately with hold the compliment, or act all faux eyed innocencent and confused about it.

@Bluntness100

I get what you mean, though it does vary case by case and weight loss by weight loss.

My friend lost a few stone, and I was one of the later ones to see her transformation, and you could see in her eyes that she was sick of hearing it, and now she has unfortunately regained, she says she's sick of seeing the disappointment (always silent) of people who were so effusive.

It's made me far more focused on losing the weight slowly and sustainably. I did start with a diet for my wedding, but set the target to 100lbs in two years. The number of people who praised my loss in one breath before telling me I'd regain it all after the wedding was staggering.

Pleased to say I'm a further 2st down since then, though!

When I lost weight, like 3 stone, I wondered why people didn't comment as it was SO obvious, then I realised that sometimes people think you've been ill and don't know what to say! Well done for losing 14lbs and if you are ever in doubt of your achievement, try carrying 14lbs of potatoes around for a day!

I lost 1 1/2 stone (down from s.16 to s.14) last year and have been maintaining since. 2 people commented, it felt like no one noticed. I now realise they probably did notice but just chose not to say anything for varying reasons! My next goal is to loose a further 1 stone and be a size 12 and keep at this size long term. I am doing it for me, but getting compliments will be appreciated!
