Regale me with your wedding night stories

Mine was great (from what I can remember!)

After we were married, all of our friends and family came to our favourite pub for a drink. We were all merrily pissed, and my husband ended up playing football in the pub with a group of little Irish kids, and we were all dancing in the bar. It was great!! Not just because we were married, but also because so many people we loved had turned up to celebrate with us. It was such an amazing day and night!

Fucking shit because my parents described my shortcomings to my then Dp at length and how there was no obligation for them to marry me.

We ended up walking through the woods in the dark with my dress hitched up, me grinning like an idiot. When we got back to the castle my DH was too drunk to get me out of my dress so one of my friends had to and did end up seeing me naked

Then the hair pins came out, so many hair pins! It was a fabulous night!

It was a crazy night, we ended up sleeping in a hay loft in a pile of hay (with a full barn of animals below).

MIL was in hospital and we visited her after the reception, while still in wedding gear. I put my horse shoe on her drip trolley. She died later that evening but we didn't know, DH's family didn't tell us until after the honeymoon (only 4 days away so didn't miss the funeral or anything).

After we left the hospital we went to the hotel we had booked for the night. DH got really drunk, stripped to go outside for a fag, then came back in, got fully dressed and into bed, and fell asleep. I struggled to get out of my dress but left my hair up - it had so much hair spray and grips that it lasted the whole of the following day while we travelled to Amsterdam.

After a long drive we were too knackered to consummate our nuptials (been living together for 18 years anyway) so we signed up to Ancestry on the laptop and looked up all our relatives!

We had booked into a Premier Inn and my drunken husband tried to carry me over the threshold into our room and whacked my head on the door frame. It's all on our friends video of my head getting bumped, my husband nearly dropping me, and me laughing like a loon!! Fantastic night!

It's nice that your MIL got to see you before she passed away NotForGretchenWieners. My dh and I were originally going to get married in secret, but we decided to have just our parents there, and I'm so glad we did as my mum passed away last year, so I'm glad she got to be there and be a part of my wedding.

We did think about postponing the wedding but she told us she would haunt us in the bedroom and heckle DH every time we shagged if we didn't do it on the day we had planned

Tiring 10 hour wedding / reception because Mil bullied my husband into it and he nagged me!
Heavy period & horrific cramps all day.
Arrived a week early on the morning of the wedding.
MIL invited about 30 people I didn't know where coming or know at all for that matter but had rang our wedding planner and paid for them and asked her not to bother me because I was stressed.
She's a pushy old thing and I've been NC ( husband & DC see grot bags several times a week ) for almost a year now and it's bliss.
Husband doesn't drink often , so he fell asleep in the beautiful bridal suite.
I stayed up half the night with a hot water bottle ordering junk food from room service.
Bloody awful day / night but it's a long time ago now and we are still plodding along.
Still have the sexy wedding night undies that he never got to see me in !

Wedding and reception were great, exactly what we wanted. Wedding night - I was drunk so went to bed and DH went for a walk on the beach with some of the guests. Didn’t consummate the marriage that night.

After wedding reception DH and I had to clean the hall we used, then since we were moving house we moved some stuff (me still in my dress), then I got my period, listened to my dad throw a tantrum (I think he'd been stressed about the wedding) and went to bed not my favourite wedding (I mean it's my only one but I've been to better) but definitely my favourite marriage

My wedding night was lovely. After an amazing but exhausting day, I left my Dh & remaining guests in the bar at about 12, went up to our beautiful room and had a bath. Then sat with my mum, sister & Mil in the sitting room of the bridal suite in front the open fire and drank a bottle of port and ate wedding cake while I opened all the gifts. Such a lovely end to the day. My Dh was delivered to our room around 4am by his brothers.

Well I was married many many years ago. Myself and new husband left the hotel reception to go on honeymoon in North Wales. It was the first of April, and snowing. We set off on the journey, quite a long way a way. We were in husbands little sports car. Someone had tied some tin cans on the bumper, which we soon noted,and pulled off. Then after a few minutes,a horrible smell came into the car. My husband investigated, and then found two kippers in there, ( fish )

We arrived at a stop over hotel for the first night, and it was freezing cold in the bedroom, and quite old fashioned. I got into bed, and it was the days before duvets,there was a big hole in the bottom sheet that my foot went through, ripping the hole bigger. My old fashioned husband, got out his pajamas, and found that someone had sewn the leg bottoms up, and emptied a packet of cornflakes in them.

It was so so cold that night, I had a new nightie to wear, but put on a thick cardigan as well,as it was so cold, And my husband could always fall asleep in an instant, and so he did that night . !!

Danced all night and didn't drink too much (I'm not a drinker.) Went to bed before the final dance as I was knackered, although i was probably awake for another 2 hours taking out all the hair pins and trying to remove all my makeup.

We had a casual wedding - registry office followed by lunch at local restaurant with about 15 guests. That evening we went home and had pizza and chocolate cake in bed, and DH had some champagne. I was 30 weeks pregnant and was asleep by about 9pm. It was an absolutely lovely day.

Had had the best night laughing and dancing. Me and my husband left our friends and family in the residence bar at 6 am having a sing song! He got me out of my dress , took out the 5,999 hair clips , we had sex , ate sandwiches which the hotel had left in the room and then conked out ! The party continued the next day! 17 years & 2 kids later I am still head over heels about him ❤️

We kept giving one another "the look" all evening over the reception dinner and cake, so we left while everyone was dancing, and went back to our hotel suite and made love on Henry Ford's desk (a funny feature of the suite!) until dawn.

In the morning all our credit cards had been canceled because the bank suspected fraud, so it took the mood down a few notches, but in a few hours all was well.

Everyone got merry and danced all night long with everyone important. The DJ played all our weird requests without any complaint. Then we went to McDonald's in our wedding clothes and got a massive order. Got to the hotel, had a quick shag, ate some McDonald's and slept. That is until my hangover woke me up at 4am, so I watched TV and ate chicken nuggets. Best night ever.

It came a few months after an awful, unexpected bereavement, so getting everyone together and having fun was just lovely.
