To use this toilet?

hardyloveit · 21/10/2019 13:04

Please help with suggestions! I'm currently at work (hca in community) I'm absolutely busting for a wee!
I've asked the service user (persons who's house it is) if it's okay to use the toilet (as I always ask)
He has said no! Shock
I have a few options -
He is in the lounge with the chair facing tv so can't see me, do I

  1. Quickly use it and hope he doesn't realise.
  2. Wet myself
  3. Cut the call short (not get paid and told off by my boss)

I've asked him again and said I'm literally bursting but he has still said no.
Phoned my boss already and explained and she said if he says no then not to use it and if she finds out I have then I'll be called in for a meeting.

Please help!!!

What a horrible person. Go next door?

ThreeLittleDots · 21/10/2019 13:09

You'll have to wee in the garden or somewhere outside for a few minutes - public loo / shop or pub nearby?

applesauce1 · 21/10/2019 13:10

What a dick. Agree with PP. Ask next door. If this behaviour is a trend, he’s probably not a great neighbour either and you’ll likely get a sympathetic response.
I’ve always had a tiny bladder so I heavily empathise with you right now.

OneTerrificMouse · 21/10/2019 13:11

You cannot piss in the garden.

Is there a nearby supermarket or public toilet?

What is the company policy?

hardyloveit · 21/10/2019 13:12

I've never felt the need to go this much! I've got 18 minutes left of this call! I won't be able to hold it much longer. Next door is an older person too and a key safe outside so probably can't answer the door or won't.

I'm going to have to use the toilet or I really will wet myself!

I can't believe he won't let me use it though. I mean seriously! I've text a few of my colleagues and they say they just go in there as he always says no. Oh god ! Trying to distract myself! Even if I leave the call early, my next call is 6 minute drive and my house is a 8 minute drive from here

Fuck

The nearest shops etc are around the same distance as my house in the opposite direction

Wee in the sink? Then you're not using his toilet...

RandomWok · 21/10/2019 13:13

Can you leave and use a public toilet? Then return? Possibly tell him what you are doing but don't worry you hopefully won't be too long. In the hope he'll relent and let you use his?

cultkid · 21/10/2019 13:13

Go and use his toilet. Do not ask him. If asked if you used it say no.
It's unreasonable for you to have no toilet break. This is really awful.

Rachel438 · 21/10/2019 13:13

just use the toilet. Is he going to call the police?

ThreeLittleDots · 21/10/2019 13:13

A sink where you can perch and he won't notice? Less obvious than flushing a loo!

chemicalelephant · 21/10/2019 13:13

Plastic bottle in your car?

Lulualla · 21/10/2019 13:14

What does your boss expect you to do? Wet yourself? Your boss needs to support you.
When you're working in his home, for that time his home is your workplace. If I remember correctly, he wouldn't be allowed to smoke whilst you're there. He can't stop you from using the toilet. Just use it. And ask your boss if she would have wet herself, walk outed and peed in the garden or used the toilet.

MsMcMurphy · 21/10/2019 13:14

Does he have a supply of urinals? Otherwise just go to the toiled!

RandomWok · 21/10/2019 13:14

Or do you have a bottle in the car to piss in?

Coldilox · 21/10/2019 13:14

Anybody else thinking about those mums better who refuse to let tradesman/delivery drivers use their loo?

MsMcMurphy · 21/10/2019 13:15

*t

(Panicking for you!)

Greysparkles · 21/10/2019 13:15

I assume you're supposed to be there doing stuff for him? Maybe you've pissed him off by being on mumsnet the whole time.

Coldilox · 21/10/2019 13:15

Use the toilet. And then speak to tour boss about access to toilets. It’s not reasonable to expect you to just not go.

Applesanbananas · 21/10/2019 13:17

Just go. The utter bloody nerve of him considering you are there to help him.

Mumdiva99 · 21/10/2019 13:17

Cut short the call. I know that isn't fair on him. But making you wet yourself when there is a toilet available isn't fair on you either. You already called your supervisor to inform her of the situation.

hardyloveit · 21/10/2019 13:18

I've had to use the toilet! I was bursting so badly! I shut the lounge door and obviously the toilet door and hoping he didn't hear it flush!
It's his lunch call, I had already made him lunch and for the rest of the call I do whatever is needed. I was in the kitchen writing my notes and cleaning the sides.

ThreeLittleDots · 21/10/2019 13:19

Good for you OP!

hardyloveit · 21/10/2019 13:19

@Greysparkles I'm in the kitchen! He didn't even realise I'm on the phone and all our notes are written on the phone anyway!!!!

hauntedvagina · 21/10/2019 13:19

Say you need to get something from the car and piss in there. In a bottle ideally but failing that you'll have to fill the footwell.

You'll have to start keeping a shewee in the boot for the next time you encounter an arsehole.

Ooo, you could always tell him that his refusal to let you use the bathroom raises concerns and you have a duty of care to look in there?
