To put milk in herbal teas?

(Obviously not a serious topic!)

I have a very nice berry and chilli tea, but it's too spicy. Tried it with a bit of milk and it tones it down so it's still spicy but bearable. As I was putting in the milk I felt like a total heathen. I'm sure someone's going to drag me out and burn me at the stake for heresy! Grin

I do know someone else who does this, she puts milk in lemon, ginger and honey flavoured tea, so I'm not alone!

It's a bit bloody weird OP why not have a proper cuppa?

ImNotYourGranny · 13/10/2019 20:28

I do this. Makes it so much nicer.

Someonesayroadtrip · 13/10/2019 20:35

My husband does this. It's weird, but I guess he's not alone then 😂

SapphireSeptember · 13/10/2019 20:40

gwacky Cause I like herbal teas. Grin I do drink normal tea now and again.

My American flat mate used to put milk in herbal tea but would drink black tea without milk. I always just thought it was an American thing!

Bezalelle · 13/10/2019 20:45

Absolute heathenry!

ColdRainAgain · 13/10/2019 20:53

Whatever you like!
Personally, all tea is vile. You are welcome to drink what you like, how you like, so long as you dont make me drink it!

YouJustDoYou · 13/10/2019 20:55

You are a horrific human being. Sacrilege!

PickAChew · 13/10/2019 20:57

I accidentally put milk in peppermint tea, once. Envy

AloeVeraLynn · 13/10/2019 21:05

Get in the sea.

beckyvardy · 13/10/2019 21:07

colourlessgreenidea · 13/10/2019 21:08

You’re a monster! Angry

SweetPetrichor · 13/10/2019 21:16

I'd do it if it made it better. I think you can drink tea whatever way you want. Having said that, I've never put milk in herbal tea...yet!

Redcherries · 13/10/2019 21:18

It’s all made from leaves like black tea? If it’s nicer then go for it.

pinksparkleunicorns · 13/10/2019 21:18
Confused

cleowasmycat · 13/10/2019 21:23

Always milk in redbush and earl grey

Dutch1e · 13/10/2019 21:24

Putting milk in any tea is supposedly sacrilegious but it still tastes nicer. Go forth, you heathen.

ToPlanZ · 13/10/2019 21:26

It's wrong, and deep down you know it's wrong.

REPENT!!!

MidiMitch · 13/10/2019 21:28

I hate herbal tea with a passion. Think I might be alone on that though!

MarianaMoatedGrange · 13/10/2019 21:34

I put milk in my Earl Grey. Common as muck, me.

Beautiful3 · 13/10/2019 21:43

Eww couldn't drink herbal tea with milk 🤢🤮

SapphireSeptember · 13/10/2019 21:50

Comments seem fairly even, voting tell me IABU. Grin

Redcherries This one's mostly made from berries and apple, but it hasn't curdled the milk so I view this as a win!

I put milk in my herbal teas, I prefer it. I also sometimes steep the teabag in hot milk. My favourite is Pukka Love with milk and sugar.

AWaspOnAWindowReturns · 13/10/2019 22:08

I thought everyone put milk in Earl Grey?
