Mine is that people place too much stock in thinking their unpopular opinions make them interesting

@formerbabe but it’s annoying when people say ‘oh you can’t learn a language after X amount of years’ ‘oh British people can’t learn languages’

I've contributed to this type of thread before in good faith and then it descended into real unpleasantness and got deleted....so can everyone keep it light hearted please! No Brexit/ abortions etc...

Ah, ok, so this thread is so you can generally insult British people.

Not everything needs a special little label to justify its existence. You can go for dinner with your spouse without declaring it ‘date night’. You can just stop talking to someone - it doesn’t need to be an event with the announcement of ‘going no-contact’.

Feeling a bit down occasionally is NOT clinical depression. The occasional attack of nerves is not the same as medically diagnosed anxiety. Liking your house tidy doesn’t mean you have OCD (and for the love of God, don’t describe yourself as ‘being OCD about’ something - you are not a disorder). People post endless inspirational quotes on social media about how we all need be more understanding about these conditions - so why are they so quick to diagnose every Tom, Dick and Harry based on virtually no facts?
