I hate Xmas, so does OH
We don’t watch Strictly or Love Island
Also hate football and the obscene amount of money involved and the dodgy finance/corruption

People who pay extra for branded goods for no other reason than that they recognise them from adverts on the TV (and have never even tried much cheaper near-identical or better alternatives) are foolish sheep with more money than sense.

This doesn't apply when your own personal (open-minded) experiences have caused you to identify tangible quality or taste benefits which justify the higher price of certain goods which happen to be made by well-known premium-priced brands and heavily advertised - but people who never buy anything apart from well-known brands, without even considering any alternatives, are likely not the sort to think rationally or generally make wise decisions.

British obsession with class is unhealthy. But the damage is already done, I guess.
Saying which class you are from makes no difference to me. Repeatedly stating which class you are from all the time makes you look like a dick with a chip on a shoulder.

I think the concept of "emotional affairs" has done more harm than good overall and legitimised a lot of unhealthy attitudes towards male and female interactions.

SAHM who think being married gives them any kind of significant protection are kidding themselves.

Marriage in general doesn't significantly change a relationship, it's overrated.

I believe in marriage but I understand why people don't bother these days. It does help with financial issues if you split up but people will cheat or split up if they are married or not.

Dogs are needy and smelly. They are more trouble than they're worth.

they are the most beautiful geometric design. Just a stunning fruit! So you follow the geometrics:

carve a circle at the top and the bottom, roughly 1 5th down, just breaking the skin. Remove that 'circle'

You will see the segments, divided by a thin 'skin'. Carve down at that each of the 'skin's, just breaking through the peel.

The segments then break open and the seeds can be picked out. Easy peasy

I don't get the ' dog love' people have but lots of people seem to adore them so it is probably me that doesn't 'get it! '
I do think some people have pets to fill a void in their lives though.

I also am a Christmas hater. If your a Christian then I can see why it's a big deal and they like to celebrate it , but for many people it's stress and debt and can cause a lot of problems too. It's also a faff when you don't have little children anymore and hard on retail staff etc. Good excuse for a drink though!

Utter nonsense.

Professional singers - and other musicians - and dancers practise for hours every day! They have to work on their technique and learn their songs/dances. Speaking as someone who is a singer, with a degree in music, I can tell you that doing it well is hard work!!

Ridiculously high social media usage by children and access to unlimited online rubbish at such a young age is severely diminishing children’s lives and priming them for a life of hooked consumerism rather than critical citizenship.
