To have emailed Tesco about kind delivery driver?

I just got my shopping delivered by a lovely, kind delivery driver. Sometimes they can be a bit miserable but this guy was so friendly. I've just emailed tesco to let them know and to pass it on to his manager and give him the recognition he deserves. I really hope they do, and I really hope it makes his day. Was this the right thing to do or was it a bit OTT? I just want good people to feel appreciated.

If you think he’s gone above and beyond then yes I would do it. I’m sure they will appreciation the feedback and I’m sure the driver himself will be pleased you’re happy.

I get my shopping delivered with them most weeks and I used to get a text after each delivery to rate the driver but that doesn’t seem to exist. Thankfully most of the drivers in my area are lovely.
