Hello & ciao! I am Italian, DH's a Scot, kids are English and we live in the South of England. We are having wine, eating chicken and listening to the Rolling Stones because my DH only likes music by old, dead people. What are you doing o MNetters?

Drinking wine and eating salt & vinegar crisps with my German DH (first time I’ve written H rather than P!) watching Ninja Warrior Germany. Happy Friday!!

JustOneSquareofDarkChocolate · 27/09/2019 20:15

tillytoodles1 · 27/09/2019 20:33

Lying on the sofa with a broken right knee and a broken left foot/ankle after a fall. I've had toast for dinner as it's all I can mage when I'm by myself. I'm spending the weekend at my daughter's house so at least I'll be looked after properly for a few days,

Idontwanttotalk · 27/09/2019 20:37

@tillytoodles1
Aw poor you. Have some Flowers and a symbolic piece of Cake. Hope you recover quickly.

Bobbiepin · 27/09/2019 20:39

Made myself some steak tacos (with some epic guacamole if I do say so myself). English DH isnt hungry so hasn't eaten yet and we're watching taskmaster.

ThinkerThunkk · 27/09/2019 20:42

Did anyone tell Mick Jagger that he's dead ?

Biancadelrioisback · 27/09/2019 20:43

I'm in bed... Watching mad men and preparing to have one hell of a lie in

DurhamDurham · 27/09/2019 20:44

I'm sure when I last saw The Stones they were all still alive.

SuperLoudPoppingAction · 27/09/2019 20:45

Driving to have a weekend in a caravan. Very Scottish thing to do.

Have eaten burger King because I was so very hungry I thought I would perish.

PomBearWithAnOFRS · 27/09/2019 20:46

I got in from work at 7, DH is at work til 11.
I have eaten a pizza (with pineapple Grin)
that DD put in the oven and no 4 son got out for me, and am waiting for celebrity MasterChef to come on.
Later I will make something for DH to eat when he gets in and pack my bag for the 24 hour shift I start at 9am.

MonnaLisa · 27/09/2019 20:47

JustOneSquareofDarkChocolate yes of course, was just being silly there! it's a quote from Trainspotting regarding Iggy Pop or Ziggy Pop.

Oooh Poor you tillytoodles1 hope you can still have a nice Friday.

Bobbiepin hi! Are you Scottish? I notice that I really warm up quickly to Scots because of my inlaws.

Henrysmycat · 27/09/2019 20:47

Watching a Janet Jackson doc chilling in a bath full of Epsom and oils. DH is at the gym and DD in bed. DCats are currently on either side of me, plotting to rescue me from the wetness.

MsAwesomeDragon · 27/09/2019 20:48

I'm listening to DD read and mning at the same time as I'm not really required any more, but she likes me to "listen"

I've got Indian takeaway for dinner once DD is properly in bed. Scottish DH is watching something about American football on TV.

MonnaLisa · 27/09/2019 20:48

Ooooh stop teasing me teasing me. Brian Jones died, ok?

Did anyone tell Mick Jagger that he's dead,

Is dead, looks dead, what's the difference?

I'm about to go and get my kids from the school bus stop, my teenager is going for a curry and then to watch an American football game at his school tonight and the rest of us will have a pizza and watch a Brazilian novela, so I think we've covered a few cultural bases there!

Cherrysoup · 27/09/2019 21:00

We’ve had the best Indian takeaway for miles, I think it was improved by being in the freezer for a fortnight then warming up slowly in the oven. We’re watching Hairy Bikers Route 66, mostly because we partly drove it ourselves. Multicultural, me, especially with my Carlsberg!

Happy Friday to Y'all!
I am American, from Texas, and my husband is English and we sitting in our living room in Texas listening to BBC Radio 2 on Tune In as it's still the afternoon. We currently have my grandchildren (7 & 3 year old twins) and they normally live with their other grandparents from Mexico so the twins do not speak very much English. I am 1/2 Mexican myself so I can converse with them but my husband and other children can't. I'm putting on "Timmy Time" for the children soon because there isn't any speech in a language other than animals so I think the kids will enjoy that.

My middle child is spending his evening at his girlfriend's house and her step-grandparents don't speak a word of English because they are from France. My son and his girlfriend can chat in German but neither have French skills. My youngest is on the computer watching a television program in Norwegian. She doesn't speak, read or write it but she loves the program.

Tonight, we will be eating green chile enchiladas whilst watching a program on a British TV provider called "BritBox" called, "Tales From the Coast with Robson Green". I may make a few mangoritas (margaritas made with mango instead of limes) and try to cool down since it's still 98F in Texas. Salud!

This is an interesting thread.
Hi all.
I am Irish and dp is English/ Australian ( but also has Scottish, Italian, and welsh ancestry). Our dc all have Irish, British and Australian citizenship. We live in England.
My dc like to listen to french music on YouTube even though they don't speak french. My ds is fluent in the Irish language . We had homemade Biriani for dinner tonight.

cinderellainyellakissedafella · 27/09/2019 21:09

cinderellainyellakissedafella · 27/09/2019 21:09

MonnaLisa · 27/09/2019 21:17

Thank you all for your great responses!!

SuperLoudPoppingAction my MIL loves her time away in the caravan too. I must confess not getting it yet but I am willing to learn!

cinderellainyellakissedafella Irealnd is my favourite country! I wish we lived in Ireland. Or Berlin. Or Manchester. But south of England is good too. The sea is nice and the cliffs epic.

elp30 - your family sounds awesome!!

Cherrysoup - skol!!

Henrysmycat I have cats too. Mine are psychopaths. Or sociopaths. The cat equivalents of Hannibal Lecter. I love them still.

I’m pakistani, living in Shoreditch, so far tonight I have endured a paw patrol film with my son, I have also done about forty minutes of weights as I couldn’t do them this morning, my Swedish boyfriend is coming over in a few minutes.
