AIBU to ask for a period/ovulation/cycle tracker app which isn’t shit?

Just that really. My cycle is horribly irregular due to medication and we’re thinking of TTC again next year. I’m currently using Eve, which I hate and despise for MANY reasons, not least because it’s all “babe, did you know boys like you more if blah blah blah”

Please. For the sake of my sanity, my sanitary protection (reusable so need to have it on me) and just...just being addressed like a grown up woman. AIBU to ask for a recommendation for a period app please?

I use an iPhone, no watch or whatever and I just want something easy to understand.

Clue is great

IlonaRN · 01/09/2019 00:23

Fertility Friend
I have wonky cycles from PCOS, and after using this, I now know in advance (i.e.recogniae the signs of) when I am likely to ovulate.

Clue

KingMidasAteMidges · 01/09/2019 00:41

Natural Cycles. Will do a lot more than tracking, but indicating a fertile window, confirming ovulation, predicting the start of your period etc. Very useful data all round.

They have got two options - preventing pregnancy and TTC. It is not free, but it is v v good. Personally I wouldn’t bother with Clue and the like, they are simply counting days and recording data. What good is that?

MiniMum97 · 01/09/2019 00:44

I use Glow. V easy. There is a lot of extraneous shit that I don't need and just ignore. I just use the calendar which predicts next period and fertile window. And there is a record of previous months.

Clue

steff13 · 01/09/2019 00:51

Clue does all those things. How else would it work if not by counting? It takes the information you enter about your cycle and uses it to predict your ovulation, period days, etc.

speakfriendandenter · 01/09/2019 00:59

I use Ovia.

Couldnt fund an app I liked either till I found My Tracker.
Can record flow details, sex dates and if protected or unprotected, tells you your next cycle dates and ovulation details (low chance, medium chance, and high chance days). Can record loads of other things too like period pains/pregnancy symptoms if you look an ovulation/pregnancy test and the results. If you fall pregnant and record a positive test, it works out your weeks and removes all planned periods and tells you your due date.

Natural cycles
I'm into my 3rd year of it and I love it
You really get to know your body and understand your cycles with it

5tarlight · 01/09/2019 02:07

Clue great for general period tracking and nice interface. Glow ok but the social part of it was a bit annoying and hard to escape from; had lots and lots of trackable things ( a bit too much really). I found Fertility Friend best for TTC esp if you will be temping etc (I even got the paid version for a while and was worth the extras). Not as 'pretty' to use but seemed to be best at spotting ov (for me) than the others.

Atropa · 01/09/2019 06:40

WomanLog (free). Lets you track periods, indicates your fertile window, lets you track temperature, moods and - on the paid version - you can even track your discharge. None better.

boughtnotbrought · 01/09/2019 06:44

Glow has always worked well for me

Premom especially if you are using OPKs
