AIBU to ask for a period/ovulation/cycle tracker app which isn’t shit?

Just that really. My cycle is horribly irregular due to medication and we’re thinking of TTC again next year. I’m currently using Eve, which I hate and despise for MANY reasons, not least because it’s all “babe, did you know boys like you more if blah blah blah”

Please. For the sake of my sanity, my sanitary protection (reusable so need to have it on me) and just...just being addressed like a grown up woman. AIBU to ask for a recommendation for a period app please?

I use an iPhone, no watch or whatever and I just want something easy to understand.

I used Clue as a period/fertility tracker.

Certainly did the job! Grin

I used Ovia and I liked it.

Clue is great. I picked it years ago because it was the only one I could find that didn't have pink or a flower in the app logo. It's evolved since then and the developers seem keen to listen to feedback and add more features. It works well for me even with irregular cycles, except it can't deal with pregnancy just yet and records it as one really long cycle!

wafflethewonderdog · 01/09/2019 08:24

I used PD and it worked for us Smile

Another vote for Clue. Used it when TTC with DS2 as my cycle is also stupidly irregular. It certainly did the job for me! Simple to use, none of that patronising bollocks.

natural cycles - it has contraception mode, ttc mode, and now i've got it in pg mode.

Very handy to remember how many weeks I am.

I use Period Tracker and Woman Diary. Free easy to use and ads aren't annoying

Mrsboombastic99 · 01/09/2019 09:36

I used kindara and have done for a couple of years. I've tried a few but found kindara quite user friendly in comparison

Nowisthemonthofmaying · 01/09/2019 09:38

Natural Cycles - it's completely accurate as based on your temperature

FineWordsForAPorcupine · 01/09/2019 09:52

I use Natural Cycles, but it can be a bit annoying - you have to go through and train it to stop asking you intrusive questions like "when did you last have sex?"

It claims these questions are to help me, but they aren't - they are to improve the quality of the data the company sells on.

Sweetpeach3 · 01/09/2019 09:55

I used ovia and a lot of my friends do. It's fab x

DadCanIHaveAZedgie · 01/09/2019 09:57

Ovia

Aquickquestionforyou · 01/09/2019 10:29

I used Fertility Friend.

It’s basic as you like, like windows 98.

But that’s why I liked it.

And whether it was mostly down to chance or luck or not, it helped me to get pregnant very quickly.

kaytee87 · 01/09/2019 10:32

Period tracker

Nellienamechange · 01/09/2019 12:49

Thanks everyone! Lots of recommendations to look at - I think Glow run the one I’m currently using and it irritates the shit out of me. I’m going to be TTC in v different circumstances than with DS - I now have chronic pain and irregular cycles so I’m just starting to think the “lots of sex” approach might not work as well for us this time. Really appreciate all the recommendations thank you!
