Mine was for falling down bra straps. I sewed a popper onto a piece of thin elastic and attach it to bras as and when. It might not look pretty, but it works lol.

Confused or just tighten the strap? Or buy a bra that fits?

WeWantSweet · 30/08/2019 21:16

Seems like I'm not good at bras then. I do buy cheap ones.

Thanks to Mumsnet I bought a thin rubber mat to go under my sofa cushions and now they don't keep sliding off! Game changer.

WeWantSweet · 30/08/2019 21:40

Blimey, will do the happy dance about my sewing solution by myself then.

I don’t understand - what do they pop into!

user1473878824 · 30/08/2019 21:49

Or even on to!

HaveeeeYouMetTed · 30/08/2019 21:51

I don't see this as a hack OP Confused
I also buy cheap bras but the straps don't need a popped sewing on because I buy the correct size & tighten the straps accordingly.

I always have issues with bra straps falling down despite adjusting straps etc Confused

WeWantSweet · 30/08/2019 21:59

OK so, on my own with this. tiptoes off

If your bra straps are falling down then the bra does not fit properly.

GeorgieTheGorgeousGoat · 30/08/2019 21:59

We know what a popper is Grin

She’s wondering how it makes it tighter?

Worgust · 30/08/2019 22:01

Don't go OP, we just want to know what you attach the poppers to

Bluntness100 · 30/08/2019 22:02

Isn't your bra the wrong size? If you can't tighten the straps enough? I don't understand how that's even possible though? At the tightest setting they should fit even the smallest framed woman.

WeShouldOpenABar · 30/08/2019 22:02

Maybe op has no shoulders, have a heart

SnugglySnerd · 30/08/2019 22:03

I am interested OP! Every single shop agrees on my bra size yet my straps constantly fall down especially when I'm driving. I think it because I have one normal shoulder blade and one that really sticks out.
I don't really understand how the popper helps though so please enlighten me!

22Giraffes · 30/08/2019 22:03

Tell us how it works, I'm intrigued Grin

Bluntness100 · 30/08/2019 22:04

Op, do you attach the poppers to the strap so effective it folds over on itself and then fits?

They must be massively too big for you if you need to do that? Or are you very very tiny framed?

moobar · 30/08/2019 22:04

I have a kitchen sitting room which is split with a baby or dog fence. Dogs kitchen side baby sitting room side.

Baby has started shaking the fence and it moves across the room. It's tucked behind the kitchen units breakfast bits.

I have asked and asked dh to fix it to the unit and he has not.

So I masking taped it myself. It's not moved an inch, she's got bored and given up. I'm very smug and my units are intact.

MsJaneAusten · 30/08/2019 22:05

But what do the poppers attach to?

Binglebong · 30/08/2019 22:06

If you have sloping shoulders straps will fall down, no matter how perfect the fit.

Well done OP.

WeWantSweet · 30/08/2019 22:17

Thank you Binglebong that's what it must be. The poppers are designed with a willy bit attaching to an opening, lol.

Chunkers · 30/08/2019 22:20

I think she means something like this but with a popper holding the ends together?
