Mine was for falling down bra straps. I sewed a popper onto a piece of thin elastic and attach it to bras as and when. It might not look pretty, but it works lol.

Exactly so Chunkers, a homemade version for those of us with sloping shoulders (thanks for the explanation Binglebong).

Right, thank you. I know what a popper is! I buy cheapish bras but just tighten the straps?! Sorry OP I am laughing at how this thread has so hugely veered off course. But also your bras don’t fit. runs off

WeWantSweet · 30/08/2019 22:48

Lol, thought my effort would kick start a convo not stymie it lol.

It was a good idea! Just went off on a tangent slightly. Maybe another time.

@daffodil2018 this sounds amazing! I'm sick of my cushions working there way off! Where did you get the rubber mat from?

I’m going to try the bra strap trick. I have properly fitted bras, but my shoulder shape leAds to flopping strips.

Daffodil2018 · 31/08/2019 07:00

@AlpacaGoodnight it was from Amazon - this one! £10 and it has done the job perfectly. They don't budge now, I used to have to redo all the cushions every day!

Ignore the miseries I'll join in. Im big on DIY bra modification myself. I've made a crossover straps one by modifying an existing one. The result was so comfy for gardening. I also had one where the underwire bits were digging in so I sewed little felt patches on. Very pleased to haved saved a bra I'd otherwise have to throw away.

Hahaha88 · 31/08/2019 07:38

I have slopping shoulders. I have to have my straps tight enough that it actually hurts, just to stop them sliding off.

Hahaha88 · 31/08/2019 07:40

@Chunkers I was thinking of trying that idea but I wouldn't be able to put it on after I'd done the extra strap up, nor could I put the Extra strap on after I'd put the bra on 🤔

AlpacaGoodnight · 31/08/2019 08:20

Thank you so much @Daffodil2018 I will definitely be buying some!

yellowallpaper · 31/08/2019 16:28

My bra straps fall down (perfectly good bras) because I have very narrow shoulders. Racing back bras help but a bugger to put on.

@Moobar and Spudulike3 belated thanks for getting the point and contributing solutions.
