Trump flag in a caravan park

Belleende · 30/08/2019 17:48

I am in a caravan park (first timer). Lots of people have flags hoisted from their caravans. One has raised a Trump flag. AIBU to sneak out in the dead of night and replace it with a rainbow flag?

Yes please do.

MsMightyTitanAndHerTroubadours · 30/08/2019 17:51

do it!

What does a trump flag look like though?? Is it his face, you could decorate it instead!

InfiniteSheldon · 30/08/2019 17:53

Damn right their opinion is wrong and you should make that very clear; how bigotted and judgemental of them. I think you should do it now and try and get them drummed out of the park. Are you Emily Thornberry? It went well last time you mocked a pleb deffo try it again.

Belleende · 30/08/2019 17:55

I will try and get a picture of it later. It says TRUMP on it. It is on one of those very long bendy poles

Nope. As much as i disagree, they're entitled to their opinion as much as you are.

Madfrogs · 30/08/2019 17:55

Theft never a good idea really is it.

Madfrogs · 30/08/2019 17:56

Is just says trump? No photo or anything? If could just be their last name you know 😂🤦🏻‍♀️ Or a shorthand of their group or a group.

WeeDangerousSpike · 30/08/2019 17:58

A mini Trump Baby blimp would set it off nicely I think.

StoneofDestiny · 30/08/2019 18:01

Must be a big caravan if Trump and his entourage are inside!

@Belleende
What is the significance of a Rainbow flag?

DoomsdayCult · 30/08/2019 18:03

No, just leave it.

Put this outside yours

Are you sure it’s not an instruction....?

InsertFunnyUsername · 30/08/2019 18:16

Of course you can't.

Anniegetyourgun · 30/08/2019 18:22

Some twit has been sticking little "Free Tommy Robinson" stickers in various spots around town. I have been unable to resist my inner child's impulse to amend them with comments of a less supportive nature.

notacooldad · 30/08/2019 18:26

I'd leave it alone.
It stands as a good indicator on who to avoid!

hereforasillygoosetime · 30/08/2019 18:37

@InfiniteSheldon Grin haha !

Amanduh · 30/08/2019 18:46

Yeah, how dare people display their support for a current leading President or political party.
I am no Trump fan but HATE this sudden online campaigning against people daring to support Tories, Trump, or anyone against their own beliefs. Saw it this week many times on twitter especially. We have Freedom of thought, religion and belief. Leave them alone.

WiddlinDiddlin · 30/08/2019 18:51

Leave their Trump flag alone...

Fly your own mini baby trump blimp instead. Far far classier course of action there :)

donquixotedelamancha · 30/08/2019 18:54

I agree about the current climate and the need for free speech, but I hardly think this post falls into that category.

  • Having a flag supporting a political leader is weird. To have one for the leader of another country is double weird. An Angela Merkel flag would be just as worthy of a thread on MN.
  • Trump really is a statistically unusual level of twunt. It's absolutely fair enough for people to mock and criticise him.
  • The suggestion of replacing the flag is a joke. Frankly even if they did it (and returned the flag to its owner) I think it's amusing enough to be acceptable. When OP starts suggesting chucking milkshakes or being rude to someone because of their beliefs, then we can moan.
Greatnorthwoods · 30/08/2019 18:56

It’s a free country, they are allowed to express themselves.

My flag would be yellow, with a rattle snake, and the words don’t tread on me.

InfiniteSheldon · 30/08/2019 18:59

Ooh I'd fly the Sadiq Khan blimp and a skull and crossbones flag

ThatssomebadhatHarry · 30/08/2019 18:59

Assuming this is in the UK? Because we should all get used to it, it will be flying about all our NHS hospitals soon.

How do you know they're not American?

StealthPolarBear · 30/08/2019 19:05

Has anyone noticed an increase in popularity of red baseball caps? Might be coincidence.
