God, they've managed to link endangered species to abortion as an argument. They are getting more illogical by the second.

There is another thread on here at the moment from a distressed sounding 16 year old who thinks she might be pregnant. Not saying she should have an abortion but as she is in the UK that is one of many perfectly legal options for her, should she be pregnant. I wouldn’t want vulnerable people to be seeing posts like this as it could damage them.

No one would disagree that killing an unborn human is wrong, however I think it’s the arbitrary definition of when an embryo is actually a human.

Just block and move on. Don't draw more attention to it.

The person who posted it is religious, and is the mum of someone I knew ages ago. One of those random people that gathers dust in our friends list.

I've found the most useful tool on fb is to unfollow people who post idiotic garbage like this or a couple who are on my friends list but I can't be doing with the hoohaa of infringing them, they like to post lots of edl stuff and similar without even realising what a bunch of racist bastards they are.

What they artistically omit is that if you kill a "pre-born" human being in circumstances outside the parameters of abortion law, the penalties will be way higher than the ones they cite for other species.

People are not an endangered species

People dont terminate their babies for prestige or to add to a collection of terminated pregnancies in the same way that people collect rare eggs

People terminate pregnancies because it's the best thing for the mother / the wider family. No one has ever used that argument to collect eggs

There are lots of arguments against abortion that have a bit of logic. Comparing them to unrelated illegal activity to stop extinction of certain species isn't one of them

Do not start an argument about embryo being a "baby" or not - to anyone who had to deal with baby loss, it's hugely disrespectful and painful. Mothers are allowed to be distraught if their baby dies, regardless if they were 16, 24 or 39 weeks pregnant. Their pain is valid.
