I’m not usually one for getting my knickers in a twist about FB stuff, but this has really got my goat

Actually, looking at the advert more closely, I agree its stupid!

If I killed a bald eagle egg I would be fined/imprisoned, and if I killed your unborn baby, I would also be imprisoned.

However if a bald eagle mum kills her eggs, she doesn't get punished, just like if a human mum terminates her pregnancy, she doesn't get punished.

There's no penalty applied to the mothers in any of these cases.....and of course human beings are very very far from needing protection from extinction...unless you include climate change which threatens the whole living world equally.

TBH - I would love to respond with "Humans aren't in danger of extinction", but I'm a mardy cow who has to deal with these sorts of posts from elderly relatives all the time.

Maybe though and taking opinions and beliefs into it. They factually do have a point. I am pro life I have no shame in admitting it. I’m allowed my views as much as the pro choicers. However I do also understand that, no women ever ever wants an abortion. They don’t want to pregnant in the first place. I’d never condemn a women for having one.

What's the point? You're never going to change their mind. All you will do is draw yourself into an argument that will never be resolved. You'll end up feeling more stressed and pissed off, not less.

You disagree with their argument feel free to say so. They are entitled to their views and to say so, so are you. I would call it discussion rather than ‘calling it out’ but whatever.
