I have a week off work and I know I'm going to sound like a looser but Kylie is playing Edinburgh castle on Monday and I want to go.
I've found a ticket for sale
Aibu to jump on the train and go?
I'm from Newcastle so about 1 1/2 hours away.
I really want to go
Shall I just go?

BlackForestCake · 11/07/2019 22:20

Yes go! Nothing wrong with going on your own!

FVFrog · 11/07/2019 22:21

Got! I would Smile

golddustwomen · 11/07/2019 22:21

I've done it! Do it!

FVFrog · 11/07/2019 22:21

Or go even!

newroundhere · 11/07/2019 22:22

Definitely!!!

notacooldad · 11/07/2019 22:25

Why the hell not?
Kyle isn't my cup of tea but I understand that she puts on a great show.
Why would you miss it if you really want it.

I've bee not going to gigs alone since I was 14 ( not alll the time of course but I have I fear of FOMO!

Missangrypants · 11/07/2019 22:25

Agree with others. Go and enjoy yourself. Nothing wrong with going solo.

Jedimastermama · 11/07/2019 22:26

Go! Enjoy the concert!

DifficultPifcultLemonDifficult · 11/07/2019 22:26

Go, I've done it and it was great.

BastilleKillers15 · 11/07/2019 22:26

Yes definitely do it! What's stopping you? I've done it before and it was THE most brilliant night I ever had 😃, if you have the money and time, then don't see why not! You'll only regret it if you don't!

TestingTestingWonTooFree · 11/07/2019 22:27

Yes go!

Intruiged · 11/07/2019 22:28

I went to Manchester and Brighton from London on my own to see big bands in smaller venues. Got a hotel, it was fab!! One your there the music is what matters!

thetimekeeper · 11/07/2019 22:30

Why wouldn't you? I've also done the same thing and had a brilliant time.

Unless sitting at home thinking "I could have been there" sounds like the better option?

onemouseplace · 11/07/2019 22:35

Go, go, go!! I've had far better times going to gigs I really wanted to be at on my own than going to stuff just because friends were going.

Devondoggydaycare · 11/07/2019 22:37

I love going to the cinema, theatre and gigs by myself & 90 minutes is nothing. Kylie was great at the Eden Sessions in Cornwall earlier this month. Nobody will know you if you sing "I should be so lucky" badly & out of tune.

BlueSuffragette · 11/07/2019 22:39

If you really want to go then do it.

gabsdot45 · 11/07/2019 22:43

I went to see Hugh Jackman by myself last month. It was great.

EleanorOalike · 11/07/2019 22:43

I’ve done it a lot actually it’s great! Have fun x

Crockof · 11/07/2019 22:45

Agree. I've also gone on my own to a stadium concert. I knew I'd regret it if I didn't.

inthebackground · 11/07/2019 22:46

Oh heck yes

Figgygal · 11/07/2019 22:47

Totally go
No one cares

steff13 · 11/07/2019 22:47

I saw Elton John alone. And Hamilton.

choirmumoftwo · 11/07/2019 22:49

I would go but check the train times. I'm sure the last train back to Newcastle from Edinburgh is quite early so you may need a hotel.

Igetknockeddownbutgetupagain · 11/07/2019 22:50

I saw Ricky Gervais on my own the other day, and I’ve been for brunch, dinner, cinema on my own. It’s pretty awesome actually. And it’s amazing what you notice/how ‘present’ you are when you’re not distracted by another person.
