I have a week off work and I know I'm going to sound like a looser but Kylie is playing Edinburgh castle on Monday and I want to go.
I've found a ticket for sale

I'm from Newcastle so about 1 1/2 hours away.

Of course! What's stopping you? I go to concerts, cinema etc on my own. Why miss out.

I went to see Bon Jovi with a friend and they had to leave an hour into it, so I was alone for the remainder of it and I'd honestly go alone next time as it didn't feel awkward or stupid at all.

Yes, trains stop far too early. I can't even get one from Manchester to the Midlands after a weeknight football match without having to leave not long after the second half starts.
