I’ve committed a MN crime (actually 3 or 4)

I’ve just stumbled across a MN crime I wasn’t aware of. I’ve recently name changed but have been active on the site for a couple of years.

I’ve “stalked” someone on Facebook! To put into context I have had a look at someone’s FB profile, well the bits they choose to be public. I haven’t camped outside her house and bombarded her with texts, emails, phone calls or any other of the truly horrifying acts of stalking. Before I get shot, real stalking is horrible, I do not condone it in any way.

Does anyone else check people out on facebook or am I a truly bad person for doing so?

Other MN crimes I’m guilty of include occasionally arguing with my husband, not spending every penny of my earnings on my step children and not thinking teachers are all that hard done by. AIBU? Anyone else guilty of MN crimes?

I can’t be the only one??

I don’t think looking at someone’s profile counts as stalking tbh.

EltonHoratio · 06/07/2019 12:23

No I didn’t either, but appears some do.

What? We all do that. It's not a MN crime. You may proceed with your nosing - just don't accidentally like anything... 🙈

TrendyNorthLondonTeen · 06/07/2019 12:24

I'm a disgusting fatty 🤷‍♀️

MyOpinionIsValid · 06/07/2019 12:24

'Stalking' is repeatedly looking, making false account to befriend, getting friends to filter back information etc.

Having a look isn't stalking.

x2boys · 06/07/2019 12:28

Everybody does this I think, particularly ex,s it's just curiosity .

Grumpbum123 · 06/07/2019 12:31

My children are having frankfurter hot dogs for lunch and I have no fucks to give

sneakypinky · 06/07/2019 12:33

The Disney one?

BlackCatSleeping · 06/07/2019 12:33

I’m pretty sure one of the main reasons Facebook exists is to cyberstalk people. I’m always looking up Exes or old classmates, people I once worked with. It’s totally normal.

I have a toilet brush. I also call it a toilet brush not a loo brush.

We also take our shoes off in the house and I leave my laundry out all night.

Anniegetyourgun · 06/07/2019 12:34

I have an upstairs and a downstairs toilet, and I have a toilet brush in both of them. Shoot me now!

BeingATwatItsABingThing · 06/07/2019 12:36

Nothing wrong with looking at someone else’s Facebook profile. That’s what they’re there for. Hmm

I also argue with my husband, have no step-children to spend any money on and I am a teacher. I tend to go with: unless you’re in the profession, don’t even try to understand what it’s like. I’m not a nurse in the NHS so I don’t claim they’re not that hard done by. I know they’re working really hard and I respect them for that.

BlackCatSleeping · 06/07/2019 12:36

Have you ever seen that Catfish program? There are some real crazies out there.

If you are doing that sort of thing, you need to stop.

arethereanyleftatall · 06/07/2019 12:37

Lol, is that really what you took from that thread? Goodness. It's not quite what people were saying is it?
This just goes to show that whenever you read an op, there's often another side to it.

EltonHoratio · 06/07/2019 12:40

@arethereanyleftatall no that’s not all I took from the thread! How very narrow minded.

BlackCatSleeping · 06/07/2019 12:43

Oh, I didn’t realize this was a TAAT.

EltonHoratio · 06/07/2019 12:44

It’s not a TAAT it’s a total different subject. *sigh

I brushed my child's teeth after cereal. Got shot down for that particular piece of horror.

Passthecherrycoke · 06/07/2019 12:48

Maybe the people who said that on the thread are a bit dim? Doesn’t mean MN is one homogeneous place with set rules

cuppycakey · 06/07/2019 12:50

I also have a loo brush, do not reverse park, eat ready meals, and couldn't care less about animals shitting in my garden.

DishingOutDone · 06/07/2019 12:52

@BlackCatSleeping you know one poster who left her washing out at night got Bat Darked doncha? Is that what you want? Cos that's what'll happen.

DishingOutDone · 06/07/2019 12:53

And yes sometimes I have a look at people's facebook profiles. I thought that's what they were there for - for people to look at?

Loveislandaddict · 06/07/2019 12:55

Yes,i’ve Looked at people’s Facebook., left washing out overnight, and have a toilet brush.

Haven’t succeeded in making a chicken last 2.4 meals though.

darkriver19886 · 06/07/2019 12:58

If people don't want to be stalked they should lock the profile down. No can see anything on my page unless they are friends.

Goldmandra · 06/07/2019 13:01

I sometimes leave washing out all night. The last time I did it, DD1 (who is now also a MNer) warned me about spider willies Grin
