To wonder wtf this is, on my leg

I don't think it's a tick. Can't see any legs. It's on the top of my leg, on the outside, sort of edge of my rump.
Maybe 1cm across.
Doesn't hurt.
Just wtf is it?
AIBU to be revolted and ask you for your thoughts please.

Blood blister?

Champagneformyrealfriends · 01/07/2019 23:42

I agree-blood blister

KTyoupigeon · 01/07/2019 23:42

It could be a tick! Have you got animals (if so do you have a tick remover?) I would be seeking medical advice first thing tomorrow because of it is a tick you will need meds immediately just in case of Lyme disease

locketsprocket · 01/07/2019 23:42

Could be a tick, my Dd had one last week and looked just like that, couldn't see legs either until we got it out

Weloveoptimus · 01/07/2019 23:43

Do get it checked by a medical professional soon.
Because it's dark and has an irregular edge you must get it checked out to rule out a skin cancer.

ChopinIn10Minuets · 01/07/2019 23:43

Yeah, I was going to say a blood blister too. Completely harmless but a bit messy when they pop, so you'll need a hanky or tissues to wipe it up.

winobaglady · 01/07/2019 23:46

Thanks, will try to see practice nurse. Urgh, popping blood blister! Lol

Is it on top of the skin, or buried in the skin? If it’s on top it’d be a blister, but it looks to me like it’s in your leg...a bit like a blackhead.

FelixFelicis6 · 01/07/2019 23:49

Shock no idea sorry...not very helpful but do get it checked!!

sleepylittlebunnies · 01/07/2019 23:51

It could be a tick or a blood blister, hopefully it is. But it is dark and has an irregular edges I would want to get it checked to rule out skin cancer.

Ohyesiam · 01/07/2019 23:54

1cm across? Much too big to be a tic. But yes get it checked

user1473878824 · 02/07/2019 01:32

....I would have stuck a pin in it by now but that’s because I don’t follow my own advice, which is the same as everyone else and get it checked.

LifeofClimb · 02/07/2019 01:34

Could be a bot fly buried in your skin... my mate had one.

PeonyPink0 · 02/07/2019 01:49

Do not waste an appointment on this Hmm

It’s a blood blister, just pop it.

winobaglady · 02/07/2019 05:52

Same size this morning. I have some popping to do.
Cheers team MN.

TenSheets · 02/07/2019 05:56

Please update us!

plasterboots · 02/07/2019 07:41

Gosh that's not nice! How can you tell
If it is a tic?

TremblingFanjo · 02/07/2019 09:31

Is it moving? Grin

Cornettoninja · 02/07/2019 09:40

I agree you should get it checked (you could try a pharmacist and they might be able to offer an opinion).

I love a good bit of digging and popping but if you find yourself asking wtf it’s time to seek a professional opinion.

I know it sounds alarmist and it may be rare but if it’s anything serious messing with it can cause so many complications,

ImFreeToDoWhatIWant · 02/07/2019 09:42

If it's truly a whole cm across that's really large and is seen an appt for advice first.

Ihatehashtags · 02/07/2019 09:45

Blood blister or melanoma. Hopefully it’s a blood blister. Looks very dark in the picture.

DontBiteTheBoobThatFeedsYou · 02/07/2019 10:05

Blimey that needs checking out in case it is a melanoma.

sallyscallop · 02/07/2019 10:14

Has it only just appeared?

chuttypicks · 02/07/2019 11:56

Any idea what it was yet @winobaglady ?
