My coat rack.
My tea & coffee station.
My jewelry holder.

Pretty much anything in my life where something has a single purpose and helps me automate my routine.

Redrupunzle · 01/07/2019 12:39

My mini greenhouse which I potter away with for a little bit every day leaves me feeling very content

Vilanelle · 01/07/2019 14:03

The big slab of lemon drizzle cake I bought at lunch time lol

Supersimpkin · 01/07/2019 14:10

Aldi grilling cheese. Half the price of halloumi. Yumbo.

Sindragosan · 01/07/2019 14:11

The absolute silence in the evening just after everyone has fallen asleep Grin

(It doesn't last, but it's lovely just for a short time)

The particular cups I drink tea and coffee from at home.

My slippers

Looking at toys and books and games and thinking about how much the kids would enjoy them Grin

A coffee in my garden in the early morning sunshine, before ds wakes up.

tellmewhenthespaceshiplandscoz · 01/07/2019 14:26

Thanks OP I love threads like these!

This morning I did a lovely 5k run after DD left for school. It was already hot but pleasantly so and on my route through a park I met lots of happy dogs on their walks and saw squirrels, rabbits and ducks. Whilst listening to Kylie on my headphones. When I got home I did my favourite post run ritual of making proper coffee on my stove top coffee pot.

These small things made me very happy and set me up for the rest of the day. Grin

Shockers · 01/07/2019 14:26

Pegging washing out.
The dawn chorus.
My cat.
My whizzy thing to make soup with.
The dogs.
My pillow.

Ellabella989 · 01/07/2019 14:28

Getting into my cosy bed each evening and cuddling up to DP with something good on the TV.

Walking outside in the sunshine when there’s hardly anyone else around.

A full fridge after a weekly shop.

Staying debt free every month (I had awful debts in my 20s so it’s the best feeling looking at my bank account now).

Having a day with no plans other than reading my book, watching a film and pottering in the garden.

When my DP sends me a cute text unexpectedly.

Freshly made cake to snack on.

WildAngel · 01/07/2019 14:28

*Cups of tea (still warm!)
*Seeing the bottom of my wash and ironing baskets for more than a day
*my sleeping children

IamEarthymama · 01/07/2019 14:28

I am in my greenhouse on my allotment as I write.
I am listening to Robin Hobb’s Ship of Magic as I potter around
I am surrounded by a bowl of mountains if I raise my head to look around

I try to pause to be thankful for simple pleasures every day

tellmewhenthespaceshiplandscoz · 01/07/2019 14:30

It sounds idyllic where you are Iam.

ziggiestardust · 01/07/2019 14:30

My cup of tea I have here.
The flat sheet I bought on sale this weekend for the bed. So cool and crisp rather than the hot sticky duvet.
Hand cream. It just does its job so well.
My phone stand so I can prop my phone up and watch YouTube videos at lunchtime on my desk.

BettyCrockaShit · 01/07/2019 14:31

The bats in my parents' garden. The solar powered fairy lights on our balcony. Aldi's Oliver Cromwell gin (a tenner and it's bloody lovely!)

user1474894224 · 01/07/2019 14:38

I just waxed my legs having not done them in ages!! That will keep me happy for a few days.

73kittycat73 · 01/07/2019 14:38

Going to bed earlier and reading a good book.

ChuckleBuckles · 01/07/2019 14:39

Cup of coffee in my back garden at about 6am on a frosty winter morning, the feeling of the cold on my face and the hot coffee is bliss.

Birds feeling in the garden chirping away all day.

A good book, my new quilt and a cup of tea in the evening.

Hillwalking in my warmest coat and hat on a cold day.

(Is it obvious I am not a hot weather person?)

Tabitha005 · 01/07/2019 14:40

Peace & quiet - the world is WAAAAY too noisy for me at the moment.

My cat - watching him having a wash is very soothing.

A starry sky with no light pollution.

The smell of my husband's neck - he uses cedarwood and black pepper oil on his big ginger beard and it just smells of 'home'.

Laughing like a lunatic with friends and family (esp. my sister who's the funniest person I know).

Old china crockery - I ferret out bits and pieces of blue & white pottery in junk & charity shops and especially like the really ancient stuff with crackles in the glaze, repaired cracks and the discolouration of time. Same goes for old wooden spoons that have bent into the shape of the hand of whoever used them for years (I have several that used to belong to my Grandmother that she cooked hundreds of family dinners with.... typing that made me cry because she died last year and using her spoons, china, kitchen utensils etc is a way of connecting with her memory in a very 'real' way.

Tabitha005 · 01/07/2019 14:42

Reading all these lovely posts is making me feel all warm and fuzzy!

MotherWol · 01/07/2019 14:42

Bar soap - currently loving grapefruit scented ones.
This IKEA carafe - it sits in the fridge door and means I can have iced tea or coffee all summer long, without spending a fortune in Starbucks.
I pared my wardrobe right back and now getting dressed is much simpler and easier as I have less choice but it all works for me.
Doing the nursery run/commute by bike and getting a bit of exercise every day, while DD sings and chats to me from her bike seat.
I'm really enjoying decluttering, and I like to visualise all the stuff I've donated/sold over the past months piled up in a big heap in the front room. It's all gone from my life and I don't miss any of it.
A lunchtime Pilates class every week.
Cold beers in the fridge at the end of a hot day.

VickyEadie · 01/07/2019 14:44

I now live on the coast, five mins walk from the sea. We usually walk down by the sea each evening and it's just blissful.

Nonstopbuttmachine · 01/07/2019 14:45

My view when I open my curtains in the morning (sparkling Med)
My three daft cats 😻
Falafel packet mix
My drive to and from work every day along a scenic coastal road, never tire of it.

Redshoesandtheblues · 01/07/2019 14:46

My cat. He curls into the back of my legs at night, and its very comforting.

A little robin who follows me around, looking very inquisitive, when I am restocking the bird feeders.

Putting my phone on mute after a certain time at night.

Watching early episodes of Criminal Minds.

Wine Gin Grin
