To expect people contacting me via Freecycle to have some manners and not use TXTspk?

I personally can just about cope with the txt speak -it's the bsence of thank you's Ihave recieved for some brand new,expensive items.
HAs put me off rather and will only list crap from now on.

ALl the good stuff will go to the charity shop.

Give it to a womens refuge (ask a doctor or HV) or other deserving charity instead

Thanks for that Furball. I had no idea who to ask about giving it to a refuge or somewhere similar.

I have some top quality stuff to give away, too - baby gear.

Most charities won't take it anymore so I'm wondering what to do because I need to get rid of it.

Oh don't get me wrong I DO like Freecycle

2/3 of the time people are really lovely and grateful and I feel all warm inside and virtuous knowing that I have just earned two weeks off purgatory

But the txtspk! I wonder how these people will ever get jobs

have done this before. please remember there are alternatives to freecycle - one such is Evergreen Trust will pick up your unwanted items and sell/recycle them in a good cause.

After christmas two years ago I rang the Women's Refuge and offered about £400 of new baby clothes and toys

They didn't want it! They suggested the charity shops

I have never recovered

I had that happen to me, too, MP. Apparently, it's because of space limitations.

Someone sent me an application for a job written out in their best txtspk. Yeah - that'll really get you places. That, and no punctuation or capital letters p*ss me off big time.

I had this twunt of a boyfriend who would use capitals inappropriately ALL THE TIME.

Among the other hurtful truths I hurled at him during our break-up was that this is not German. There is no need to capitalise nouns in the middle of sentences except in certain instances.

He was not amused .

Funnily I just freecycled my old breadmaker and my MIDWIFE turned up to collect it! Small world!
