to be gutted i'm finished harry potter?

sorry if there's another thread somewhere already but i'm just gutted the series is finished but at the same time praying she doesn't ruin it by writing another.

YANBU; I've just finished it myself and feel exactly the same!...I'm consoling myself with the hope that in a few years time I can read them to the littleone I'm carrying at the moment and share the magic with him/her again.

i think i'm going to have to re-read 6&7 straight away again as it was all getting a little jumbled up at parts with horcruxes and deathly hallows flying around.
delighted that i called two major points right though and can rub it in my sisters face who called me an idiot.

I always feel like that when i finish a book I've enjoyed. The more i like it the quicker i read it. Just waiting for the films now.

I don't really care for Harry Potter but I often feel that way when I finish a really good book. It's the feeling that life still goes on without that added bit of excitement .

ha ha i know.she hasn't finished it yet though so i have to act like i know nothing, when there's an 8 year old running around in my head going "ne-nar-ne-nar-ne-nar"

If you are unreasonable so am I. I have wanted to know the end for years, and now I do. I am glad but feel sad too, and thought I was the only one to over identify with fictional characters.

I still find myself wondering how Will and Lyra are bearing it..

I am sad to have finished too. It made me realise that book 6 was rubbish; we were having a conversation over lunch at work today and out of the 4 of us, none could remember what book 6 was actually called, let alone what happened in it so am going to read 6 and 7 again too

I'm sad too. I'm going to re-read 7 soon as despite all my promises to the contrary I raced through it!

I wouldn't mind another series though, I read a lot of fantasy so I like series after series! I'm sure it won't happen.

ive just started reading no7 again, as i rushed through it cos i was dying to know the end..........im kind of doing a mental blockage and trying to pretend i havent already read it

Thanks for the info MrsWeasly, I was sure Hermione was going to be the Transfiguration teacher. As well as being married to Ron. Although there don't seem to be any married teachers at Hogwarts - or am I wrong?
