Septimus - would you enlighten as to how you reached this conclusion....

TheMoistWorldOfSeptimusQuench · 21/07/2007 18:49

Self confessed bighead friend who uses Facebook for the very reason that it massages her ego beautifully.

Also confirmed by Cod when I asked on another thread!

(And if Cod said it, it must be true )

It's a rare student who isn't on there though. It's part of a culture of certain groups in the UK, that's all. My son is very rare in having political objections to it.

southeastastra · 21/07/2007 21:39

ooh what political objections?

expatinscotland · 21/07/2007 21:40

I do, but I don't want to know. I put it in the same catergory as instant messaging software, blogs and text messaging - one of completer and utter disinterest to me.

southeastastra · 21/07/2007 21:41

it seems very needy

people need time alone

My son? He sees it as tool to control people by the state. He's 18. We have to allow him his views. At least he's not just mindless posting facebook messages all day.

I have used all these things and they have a place. It just depends on your life and the people you deal with. At one point the best way to communicate with my son 2 flights upstairs in the house was on MSN/IM as at least you got an answer.

nappyaddict · 22/07/2007 11:09

my sister used to ask me to get her a drink via msn when she was upstairs and i was downstairs

have also twice managed to find out where my ex is working for the csa. seems the csa are great but only if you do their job for them!
