Theresa May’s resigned.

OP posts:
JeezOhGeeWhizz · 24/05/2019 10:19

Here's your coat, whats your hurry.

theboomtownrat · 24/05/2019 10:20

About time!
It scares me tho to think who will step in

ItsInTheSpoon · 24/05/2019 10:20

So who is there that can do a better job?

mydogisthebest · 24/05/2019 10:21

What's so good about it? I feel sorry for her. She took on the thankless task after the spineless wimp Cameron chickened out.

Her party have treated her badly and who is going to take her place? They are all pretty awful.

UnicornBrexit · 24/05/2019 10:22

Better the devil you know - the big question is - who will replace her ?

She always had a poisoned challis no one else dared touch, fair play to the girl, she did as well as she could in the circumstances. If the electorate are going to vote for Bollox Brexit then you can hardly expect her to have all the answers as to the mess created.

Sparklingbrook · 24/05/2019 10:22

This is the 3rd thread I have seen...

DoneLikeAKipper · 24/05/2019 10:25

Hmm. I’d bet my last penny whoever comes in will be a hard-brexiteer who will push through No Deal without care for the consequences. I don’t like TM, I think she’s made a bad situation worse, but I do think she was actually trying to avoid a no-deal Brexit catastrophe at all cost. Whoever will come in next will try and appease the public by doing something that will probably turn out to be monumentally stupid in the long run.

The Brexit Shit Show will continue after this break.

Cariadne · 24/05/2019 10:29

I don’t think she has done a good job but if she’s who was standing between us and Johnson or Rees-Mogg then we’re doomed.

ShitAtScarbble · 24/05/2019 10:32

Be careful what you wish for - that's all.

All likelihood is that that massive buffoon Johnson will get the job and wham! We have our very own Trump.

The80sweregreat · 24/05/2019 10:32

Done, I agree with you. This isn't good news!

UnicornBrexit · 24/05/2019 10:32

She took on the thankless task after the spineless wimp Cameron chickened out.

Boris you mean, he caused all this.

PortiaCastis · 24/05/2019 10:35

Oh Lord we'll get a brexiteer who'll take us out without a deal.

The80sweregreat · 24/05/2019 10:39

Europe has seen off so many British leaders over the years. I think it will still rumble on for years and years.

MbwaKali · 24/05/2019 10:40

I feel sorry for her. She was left a pile of crap, accumulated by her predecessor. It’s not her fault it didn’t happen.

mydogisthebest · 24/05/2019 10:40

She certainly is not the worst PM we have had. Cameron, Brown, Blair!

DoneLikeAKipper · 24/05/2019 10:40

Just watched her statement. The end was hard to watch, but in a way it was nice to see that she did care and actually had emotions underneath that robotic public face.

mydogisthebest · 24/05/2019 10:42

Unicorn, it was Cameron who gave us the referendum and Cameron who said that no matter which way we voted he would not slink off but stay and see things through. A wimp and a liar

IsabellaLinton · 24/05/2019 10:44

I hope we do get a brexiteer who’ll leave with No Deal. I would feel sorry for her if she hadn’t been so utterly incompetent. She’s the worst PM we’ve ever had, bar none.

Mrsong · 24/05/2019 10:44

Politics aside ( I'm not British) that woman needs a holiday!

Maybe83 · 24/05/2019 10:45

I feel so sorry for her.

I live in Ireland and to be honest I think the UK is completely fucked as is Ireland.

I just heard a conservative on TV saying of course we TRY to protect the Belfast agreement when being interviewed and it was stated they had to.

If Boris Johnson gets the jobs it's a no deal and return to hell on this island. Him and the DUP. Angry the good old Tory imperialism is going to shed what is left of the GFA.

LakieLady · 24/05/2019 10:49

I fear for what will follow.

Whoever they pick to follow her will undoubtedly be worse. And I'm uncomfortable that all Tory members will get the final say, I think there should be a GE so we all get to make a choice.

Acis · 24/05/2019 10:51

She always had a poisoned chalice no one else dared touch, fair play to the girl, she did as well as she could in the circumstances.

No she didn't. She must have known more than most just how much fraud there was around the Brexit campaign. She could have pulled the plug at a much earlier stage and insisted on a new referendum.

HarryElephante · 24/05/2019 10:56

At long last? You've seen who's next in line, right?

BrendasUmbrella · 24/05/2019 10:57

So Boris is finally going to be inflicted on us...

Heads between your knees everyone...

ssd · 24/05/2019 10:58

Boris Johnson will help Scotland get a yes vote next time, bring it on.
