Too big for the trampoline park? AIBU

I'm taking the kids to a trampoline park next weekend, but the thing is I'm 14 stone, and very self conscious about my weight. On their website it says under 5s need to be accompanied by an adult and I have a 3 year old DS, but it doesn't say anything about the weight limit. Has anyone here been to these trampoline parks and my size?

If it's a standard trampoline park they are designed to take adult men, an awful lot of whom will be more than 14st...

notapizzaeater · 18/05/2019 14:06

It will be fine, I'm bigger than that and never had any issues

Moltenpink · 18/05/2019 14:06

My husband goes on, he’s around 17 stone.

ChocolateTea · 18/05/2019 14:07

You'll be fine. 14stone is not actually that heavy in the grand scheme of things. I've seen 6ft 2 clearly 20+ stone dad's have a whale of a time there. And no one will be judging you either.

Twotome · 18/05/2019 14:07

Your weight will be absolutely fine to go. Have fun!

WhiteVixen · 18/05/2019 14:07

The maximum weight restriction for the place I take my children to is 20 stone. You’ll be fine, and have a great time. They’re a lot of fun!

Unicornshopkeeper · 18/05/2019 14:08

I'm a similar weight and wouldn't worry about it.

I would be worried about my pelvic floor though. That could be very embarrassing

PandaPolarBear · 18/05/2019 14:11

You'll be fine... recommend wearing a sports bra if you have one though. The bouncing can be uncomfortable!!

MrsScamander · 18/05/2019 14:14

I took my DD to a trampoline place when I was over 20st, had loads of fun Grin

Go for it and have fun

donquixotedelamancha · 18/05/2019 14:24

I've been to a trampoline park recently. I am a lot bigger than 89 Kg. Go and have fun.

P.S. January 1971 phoned for you, they want their units of mass back :-)

Girlicorne · 18/05/2019 14:24

I weigh more than that, I ve been on loads of times it's great!

Trampolinepark · 18/05/2019 14:28

We're going to Better Extreme trampoline park, I don't know if they would be classed as national chain? But I see they have a few trampoline parks around the country. Thanks for your replies, and I completely forgot the dads Grin I feel so much better about going now Smile.

First point, 14 stone is not that big!!

Second pint, up I have spent a lot of time in these places and parents of every shape and size are in there. Just make sure your trousers stay up (personal experience talking😂)

HogMother · 18/05/2019 14:34

The limit at ours is 17.5 I believe. I’m over 14 and I go on easily. Have a wee before you go on though 🙀

yermawyabas · 18/05/2019 14:42

Echoing the going for a pee before you go on.

hidinginthenightgarden · 18/05/2019 14:48

My sister weight around 14 stone and went on last time she came with us. She just said she wished she had strapped her boobs down!

stucknoue · 18/05/2019 14:54

Ours has a 100kg weight limit, not sure what that is. Ditto the tip about the loo just before and the sports bra. I didn't enjoy it tbh but it was an all adult session for a friends hen do

MillicentMartha · 18/05/2019 14:54

Don’t just have a pee! Wear a pad. Seriously. Have fun!

MummyBear2352 · 18/05/2019 14:54

My husband is at least 14 stone and took our daughter to a trampoline park in Slough. There might be a weight limit but I'm sure it's much higher than this. I would say go and enjoy yourself.

NorthernKnickers · 18/05/2019 15:08

@donquixotedelamancha not sure where in the world you are, but the VAST majority of adults in the U.K. still use stones and pounds to weigh themselves. KG never really 'caught on' as a 'thing' 🤷‍♀️ Like miles -v- km when talking about distance. Just doesn't compute. HTH 🙄

dementedpixie · 18/05/2019 15:13

It's stones/lbs for me too. I don't work in kg

JohnWolfenstein · 18/05/2019 15:14

Yeah tena lady is your friend at the trampoline park!! Blush

PristineCondition · 18/05/2019 15:21

Ive seen(massive exaggerating but it feels like it) every doctor in the south in the last year and they still all work in stones and pounds

AnAC12UCOinanOCG · 18/05/2019 15:25

Everybody I know uses stones and pounds.

BigRedBoat · 18/05/2019 15:33

Our local one is 18 or 19 stone but you don't actually have to bounce to accompany children, you can just supervise from the edge of each trampoline.
