Too big for the trampoline park? AIBU

I'm taking the kids to a trampoline park next weekend, but the thing is I'm 14 stone, and very self conscious about my weight. On their website it says under 5s need to be accompanied by an adult and I have a 3 year old DS, but it doesn't say anything about the weight limit. Has anyone here been to these trampoline parks and my size?

donquixotedelamancha not sure where in the world you are, but the VAST majority of adults in the U.K. still use stones and pounds to weigh mass themselves.

FTFY. If they were weighing themselves it would be in Newtons. HTH.

Lots of social advances take a long time to bed in. I'm sure if you try, you'll get used to Kg.

I thought my pelvic floor and fitness was OK until accompanying DC to one of these places!

The “safety” (disclaimer/scare tactic) video was hardcore too.

Hideous places! DC bloody love them.

@donquixotedelamancha 😂😂😂could you actually get any more pretentious? 😂🤷‍♀️. You are now making yourself look really twatty...but do carry on, it's quite entertaining 😂😂

DH is 16 stone and no problem. So no probs with weight but I personally wear a Tena lady post two DC!!!!!!

Woosh.

Proseccoinamug · 18/05/2019 15:52

I’m much heavier than that and no problems. May I recommend a pantyliner and a sports bra!

TheHeathenOfSuburbia · 18/05/2019 15:54

And see those lithe teenagers doing handsprings and cartwheels along the runway thing?

That's actually WAY harder than it looks. It turns out. Blush

DeadBod · 18/05/2019 15:54

Our trampoline park does adult exercise classes so I'm sure you'll be fine. Enjoy

Wifeofapostie · 18/05/2019 20:56

Our local independent one has a limit of 22 stone

Youwanapizzame · 18/05/2019 20:58

donquixotedelamancha Time to get a hobby. Making a tit of yourself on MN doesn't count.

EggysMom · 18/05/2019 21:02

I'm 15st, and I regularly take our autistic son to a trampoline park - and I have to bounce, else he won't do so (he mimics me). I only need a tena when I've recently had a cold/cough, most times I'm okay (and I wear black leggings in case!)

Mumoftwoyoungkids · 18/05/2019 21:06

donquixotedelamancha

2.2 pounds in a kilogram, it’s an easy number to multiply / divide by - can you not just translate it in your head - most people I know who care about these things can and so are indifferent as to which measure is used.

Ditto miles and kilometres.

UtterlyUnimaginativeUsername · 18/05/2019 21:17

I've been when I was over 19 stone and had a great time Grin It's true about the pelvic floor though, I've never had any problems with mine despite having two kids, but I found trampolining a challenge!

AppleKatie · 18/05/2019 21:30

The irony of someone with a Don Quixote username telling people to get with the modern times is almost too much to bear!

OP at 14st you’ll be fine 😃

Hi, maybe contact the trampoline park to check the weight restriction.

Our local one has a limit of about 20 stone

SilviaSalmon · 18/05/2019 22:08

You should be fine. Ours has limit of 18 stone.

Crazycat16 · 18/05/2019 22:22

Don’t just have a pee! Wear a pad. Seriously. Have fun!

Seriously. Wear a pad. I have one DC and weight 10 stone(so weight is no indicator of this) but first bounce on a trampoline made me wet myself Blush and I do Pilates and the nurse told me, when doing my smear, that I have a strong pelvic floor (&I thought that was embarrassing!) obviously it isn't strong enough to stop me wetting my knickers.
14 stone is fine for our trampoline park but do check the website if you are worried. Have fun!
