Weird question of the day:
When you get out of the shower or bath, which part of your body do you dry first second and third? I told you it was weird!!

Face, and hair with one towel, then quick rub from toe to neck

Aquamarine1029 · 17/05/2019 21:03

I do a quick pay of my upper body, then I dry my feet and legs so I can get out without making the bathmat sopping wet.

*pat

Leeds2 · 17/05/2019 21:05

I dry my hair first.

Mitzicoco · 17/05/2019 21:06

I do face then hair. Feet (out of shower)then that funny back rubbing with from towel side to side.

I do face and hair with one towel - then I stand and brush my teeth so I sort of drip dry for a bit . Then I wrap a towel around me and get into bed to dry off for the rest of me .

I’ve just realised I don’t actively dry the lower half of my body 🤔

simplyhaving · 17/05/2019 21:09

Hair in a towel, body in a towel, then go sit down for a while, usually back in bed

Mitzicoco · 17/05/2019 21:10

I like the sound of getting back into bad after bath/shower. wonder why I never thought of that before?!

SparklesandFlowers · 17/05/2019 21:11

Doesn't the towel get damp and make your bed damp?! Confused

Wrap my hair in a towel to dry last. Towel around shoulders, pat face, then shoulders down to toes.

youngestisapsycho · 17/05/2019 21:15

Ooh yeah, back in bed with towels on hair and body and watch Everybody Loves Raymond!

Mitzicoco · 17/05/2019 21:16

Suppose the problem with getting back into bed is that you just have to do the horrendous ordeal all over again: getting out of bed,

I rub bottom of legs and shoulder before putting the towel on head.... then large towel round body.

Mitzicoco · 17/05/2019 21:19

Shoulders, neck area can be neglected easily therefore causing difficulty in putting bra on.

Mitzicoco · 17/05/2019 21:20

or even putting bar on.

Flip my hair straight into a turban, then grab a big towel. I rub my fave dry, wrap myself in the towel and if it's evening, flop on the sofa and stay like that until I'm dry.
I'm lazy.

highheelsandbobblehats · 17/05/2019 21:24

Face not fave

Mitzicoco · 17/05/2019 21:25

You're not lazy, just sensible.

Who knew there were so many ways to dry yourself. My husband stands there drip drying for a few minutes. I find that utterly bizarre.

Mitzicoco · 17/05/2019 21:27

Does anyone find actually getting into the shower dreadful? I do. Once I'm in it it's ok but I dread it. Much in the same way I dread the school run....

youngestisapsycho · 17/05/2019 21:32

I love showering.... especially as I have a new walk in, not a climb in the bath one. I could stay in for hours under really hot water!

Mitzicoco · 17/05/2019 21:36

I have a climb (clamber) in one. I an imagine drifting into hot water much nicer than clambering into it.

Hair and face first then back rub thing! Then from the top down to the feet. I then wrap my hair in the towel whilst I do my deodorant, face moisturiser. Lovely!

Mokepon · 17/05/2019 21:39

Turban for hair.
Face, then start at the bottom and work my way up.
Or if I cba I throw on my dressing gown after I pat my face...that does it.
And very occasionally if I get the house to myself, I lay a towel on the bed before I have a bath and then when I get out I nap lie on the towel and air dry Smile.

NoClueWithStyle · 17/05/2019 21:40

I hate getting into the shower too. I don't know why because I always feel manky and asleep if I dont shower in the morning.
Once finished showering I tip my head over into a turban, and then put a fluffy towelling dressing gown on. I then potter about/mn/have breakfast etc. By the time I'm ready to get dressed, the dressing gown has absorbed all the water. I never actively dry myself unless I'm late getting into the shower.

I highly recommend a towelling dressing gown specifically for this purpose. I hang it on the back if my bedroom door and its dry ready for the next morning.
