How much chocolate do you eat?

How much chocolate do you eat on average every week? I spent years eating 3 bars per day and finally whittled it down to 1 bar per week for a few months. I was losing weight and my IBS got a bit better.

Im starting to self sabotage and slip back into my old ways though. WHY do I do this to myself?!
I found quitting smoking easier than cutting my chocolate intake down.
How much do you eat and do you crave it regularly?

Either none or loads. I find it very addictive (only milk chocolate - I'mnot fussed about dark). If I have even a tiny bit, I then find it almost impossible to resist eating shedloads. I'm not like that with any other food. I'm currently trying not to eat any sweet stuff at all and am doing pretty well even though there are still Easter eggs in the cupboard.

riverislands · 13/05/2019 17:28

Same as @YessicaHaircut : one bar of 85% a week, on average.

beela · 13/05/2019 17:33

Not much. Cake, on the other hand... Blush

CustardySergeant · 13/05/2019 17:35

I don't have any chocolate (or cake or biscuits). I just haven't got a sweet tooth.

Ellabella989 · 13/05/2019 17:39

I’m also not fussed for dark chocolate. I wish I did love it as it’s harder to binge on. Terrys choc Orange is my absolute favourite and I love milky bar. It’s dangerous if I’m around a box of those Guylian Seashells too

Too much.... I work in a chocolate factory.

GymKitJen · 13/05/2019 17:43

Far too much. I eat a bag of giant buttons (the share bags that's are normally £1) and a dairy milk little bar a day.

I walk about 6 miles a day and I'm 9 stone. I'm eating my way to either a heart attack or diabetes- or both

PumpkinPie2016 · 13/05/2019 17:44

Too much! But from today I am cutting down massively on chocolate/biscuits/crisps and alcohol.

I need to lose a bit of weight and my IBS has been awful lately so I am trying to eat healthily and do more exercise.

y0rkier0se · 13/05/2019 17:50

Absolutely loads. Today is my first day of cutting it out - I can’t only have a little bit. Yesterday I had a share bar of dairy milk and a share bag of magic stars, for example. Blush

Notreallyhappy · 13/05/2019 17:53

1 bag buttons a week maybe...such a sado, I dont eat biscuits either.

REDCARBLUE · 13/05/2019 17:56

Im not one for chocolate. If i had a bit it would be a square or two. DH can demolish a toblerone in one sitting and that sickens me.

Id rather have a jaffa cake or two.

So much. Everyone saying a bar...we're talking family sized right Grin

LadyMonicaBaddingham · 13/05/2019 19:02

Not much, to be honest. Cheese, on the other hand... Now that's bordering on embarrassing

ComeOnGordon · 13/05/2019 19:09

None. I was diagnosed as lactose intolerant a few years ago - I liked chocolate up to then but in the lactase tablets there was a table with how much lactose things had in them and chocolate was the highest and it was like a switch clicked in my head and now I can’t eat it at all. The taste is way too sweet after so many years.

Now if they could just find a way to stop me eating crisps.....

thebear1 · 13/05/2019 19:18

I eat it every day but about a freddo size or a couple of biscuits.

Candycats · 13/05/2019 19:30

I never used to eat much before I was pregnant but during pregnancy and now baby is here I eat a lot 😳 like a PP I'm breastfeeding so tell myself I need the extra calories...🙄

PinkGlitter123 · 13/05/2019 22:14

Today I had half a chocolate Easter egg, a Flake bar, a Cadbury creme egg and a mini lindt bunny.
I eat that amount most days and am far from overweight before anyone says anything. Not ashamed at all. Can't be doing with this few squares a day bollocks

WindsweptEgret · 13/05/2019 22:20

A 100g 100% cocoa bar will last me a week or two, 6 days minimum as there are 6 rows to a bar.

OddestSock · 13/05/2019 22:26

Probably a bar or so a day, it's usually cadburys.

fruitpastille · 13/05/2019 22:31

I would have something like a chocolate biscuit e.g. digestive/bourbon most days. Also fairly often have a couple of squares of proper chocolate in the evening. A bar of chocolate like say a wispa or some malteasers would be a treat on the weekend maybe but crisps would be more likely. Obviously at Christmas/Easter or on holiday that might increase.

Bambamber · 13/05/2019 22:33

I find the less frequently I eat it, the less I crave it. I haven't eaten any chocolate since Easter Monday, I still have an Easter egg sat in the cupboard untouched.

DontCallMeShitley · 13/05/2019 22:40

Sometimes a couple of bars of Lidl (palm oil free) in a week, then none at all for a long time. It is difficult to find decent chocolate these days and Lidl is OKish but not like chocolate used to be so I buy a lot less.

I used to buy lots of Flakes, Topics, Marathons, Crunchies and big bars of Galaxy and Caramel but they are all crap now with barely any chocolate, they are just palm oil and sugar so I don't buy them at all.

Calixtine · 13/05/2019 22:41

Loads. 60-100g a day easily (85%). Plus other chocolatey treats whenever available! Blush

Notcontent · 13/05/2019 22:41

I love chocolate and find it quite addictive so avoid eating it. It helps that I only like good quality chocolate.
