To ask for temps in Brittany in June

AginNAgin · 07/05/2019 19:15

Are we talking 20's or 30's?

Dd is off there in June, but her summer wardrobe would be pretty limited!

Her wardrobe consists of trackies basically (Irish - so summer is 2 days a year where it hits 25 degrees).

high 20s I would think, rather than 30s.

probably too warm for a tracksuit unless you are unlucky.

AginNAgin · 07/05/2019 19:17

Ok, I better buy her a few bits.

YABU. Google will give you the accurate info.

AginNAgin · 07/05/2019 19:18

Any recommendations for cheap and cheerful online websites for teens?

Unless Google can predict the future, I was asking for advice from people who have actually been there in June.

What I mean is that if you Google the same question they will give you average temps, rainfall etc over a number of years which will be much better to base your plannong on.

Jeezoh · 07/05/2019 19:23

Google CAN predict the future, you can search for average temperatures in different places across the world Grin

I’ve been in June though and would aim for leggings, T-shirt’s and cardies for early June and more summery clothes for late June

Unhomme · 07/05/2019 19:23

www.holiday-weather.com/brittany/averages/june/

Here you go. Google says 19 degree average high.

It's based on data, so better than someone who went there once...

goodwinter · 07/05/2019 19:24

...what?

Nobody here can predict the future either... I doubt anyone here has been to Brittany next month yet. Confused

bridgetreilly · 07/05/2019 19:30

Oh. Temperatures.

I wondered why you needed 20-30 year old temps. In Brittany. In June.

But yes, google MUCH more reliable than AIBU for that.

countrygirl99 · 07/05/2019 19:32

I've been to Brittany in June a couple of times. Once it was pleasantly warm - think low 70s, the other time it was mostly cool and wet. I would go prepared for a wide range of temps.

AginNAgin · 07/05/2019 19:32

Thanks for the help...............

What I'm asking is she going to need hot summer clothes or her normal summer clothes.

Jeez. Miserable bunch of fuckers.

Well what it was like last June and the June before may well be different to this June.

It’s northern France, I’d expect high teens /low twenties and a bit of rain. If you’re lucky you may get it warmer or a heatwave. It’s not as guaranteed as the south of France/Med though. Too close to England..

She should have shorts and t-shirts as a back up definitely warm clothes too.

AginNAgin · 07/05/2019 19:33

Thanks, her Irish wardrobe will probably be fine.

AustrianSnow · 07/05/2019 19:37

It’s like the UK but a couple of degrees warmer in my experience. June is often a great month (just like the uk). I’d take some cheaper bits for hot weather as there’s a good chance of it being high twenties. Don’t rely on getting stuff there because clothes are a lot more expensive.

soulrider · 07/05/2019 19:42

We were in Brittany at the beginning of June last year. Very mixed weather much like the UK - it rained most days, but we had warm sunshine as well but probably nothing above 23. We must have picked the worst week of the summer to go last year though, the weeks before and after in the UK were much better.

Lilac3 · 07/05/2019 19:44

We go to Brittany every June.

The weather is usually the same as the UK and Ireland - last year was extremely hot, it rained and was cold (for the time of year) the year before that.
Although having said all that, It gets noticeably warmer the further south you drive, even by as little as an hour

AginNAgin · 07/05/2019 19:50

She'll be on her own (with a group) as in, I won't be with her. Just wondering what she should pack.
Perhaps I should just google what to pack. Google will tell me.

OP posts:
AginNAgin · 07/05/2019 19:52

@Lilac3 She'll be going to Noyal Chatillon sur seiche. Is that further north or south do you know? (I've never been to France).

OP posts:
Lostthefairytale · 07/05/2019 20:08

Google would tell you that.

AginNAgin · 07/05/2019 20:30

Ok, I get it. You don't care to answer the fucking question!

Fuck off why don't you. Shall I google how to fuck off for you?

OP posts:
AginNAgin · 07/05/2019 20:32

I'm looking for local knowledge not fucking google.

I must remember to tell everyone who posts ever again to just fucking 'google it'.

OP posts:
bridgetreilly · 07/05/2019 20:33

Noyal Chatillon sur seiche

AginNAgin · 07/05/2019 20:35

God ye're fierce smart bastards on here.

I'm not a drone. I prefer to talk to PEOPLE, not a fucking search engine. You should try it some times. You weirdos.

If you don't like it - sod off.

OP posts:
JojoLapin · 07/05/2019 20:45

Brittany is not exactly renown for its weather, which is actually not dissimilar to the Irish one. Don’t invest in a summer wardrobe. It’ll be mild, not hot.
