How has your day been? Back at work after a long break

I've had a lovely one, thanks Rrtjones

Not back at work until tomorrow so been enjoying a day at home alone, except the chickens and dog, general tidying and being content in my own company.

How about yourself?

Yeah ok. I am a teacher so back to work. The kids were a little hyper but soon calmed down

Still in my pjs and eating marmite toast on the sofa.

How was it being back at work?

Started with a banging head. Went to take mother shopping and she gave me paracetamol with caffeine... OMG!

I’ve had an awesome and very productive day!
Big shop done
Deep cleaned the kitchen and the bathroom.
3 loads of washing done, out, dry and in
Stripped 2 beds and remade them
Cut the grass, tidied the front garden and filled the green bin ready for collection
Cleaned the living room
Made a curry in the slow cooker
Mopped all the floors
Done school run
Taking little ds to his swimming lesson in a minute
Then off to a study evening 6-9 this evening.

So chuffed 😆

Been very down lately which is unlike me. No motivation to even get dressed so to say I’ve done all this in one day is a massive step in the right direction 😁

It was ok. I soon got back in to the routine.

Not the very best. DH is working from home, while I'm also trying to get stuff done, and I feel we're a bit in each others' way. We both have headaches, which doesn't help.

I had a GP appt today, and instead of reassuring me with "it's just a virus, rest and drink fluids" or something like that, she seemed mildly concerned and has ordered tests. So now I'm feeling mildly anxious.

I went to buy groceries, but forgot to get more coffee.

The oven broke down yesterday, and I need to do something towards sorting it, but feel a bit overwhelmed.

Meh.

No!! It's my birthday and I've had to work. I have a rule to never work on my Birthday but I'm low on annual leave 😫

Thanks @Rrtjones and @DollyPlastic - it's "just" weird headaches that I've never had before, so could be nothing or anything, as far as I know.

Not great.

I started a new job a month ago tomorrow and I'm still say twiddling my thumbs as no one has the time to teach me anything.

Roll on 5pm...

I'm off this week, so that's always good!

What is even better is that last night I split up with my partner of four years. He was a sexual bully, always trying to gaslight me, passive aggressive and did that thing where one no it's he was telling you how clever and amazing you are and the the next minute making a barbed and snidey comment.

I feel free again and awesome!!! Just a shame it took so long to do it (we work together so that's why I kept putting it off!!).

Not only that, but when riding this morning, the little man was trying so hard to do something he has never done before and i was so pleased with him. I luffs him (even though he is not the prettiest horse in the world...)

Slept really well and had a lovely swim before work.

Work, however, has been very slow and the day is massively dragging.

Not bad, thanks. Got a fringe trim and blow dry, did some laundry, finally finished watching the bodyguard and made some soup for dinner. Now at ds' swimming lesson. Will hopefully get him to sleep at a reasonable time tonight. And managing to stick to my diet. All in all, a good day.

Fantastic! I've been to the gym for the first time in months. I could barely make it around the house without being exhausted. I've also made some bread and will cook, shortly. I'm exhausted now but pleasantly so.

So nice to hear so many of you having nice days whilst I was teaching 27 9 year olds.

DP is away for a couple of days so I went to Aldi after school run and bought stuff for dinner that he doesn't like, but I can't be bothered cooking or eating it. I'll force myself to otherwise it will just go in the bin. The muffins I got are dry and horrible but I'll eat them too or they'll be wasted.

DS has Cubs tonight and it's just started raining so I'll get soaked taking him there, and probably soaked picking him up again later.

And DP has stained the sideboard in the kitchen with coffee rings

All of which would normally be fine but my period started this morning so I have a sore belly and just want to hibernate

Dreadful. I had to miss a conference at work, that I organised, due to having some kind of inner ear virus. Feel crap.

Awful had some deeply upseting news today, don't want to go into details, but it looks like our family will never be the same again.

Pretty good. Did some crochet today. Making a blanket which is my go-to thing when I don’t want to follow a pattern.

Completely unproductive, got a short art consultation done for a private class while dd kicked me, tried to feed dd she refused. Took her to the park she did a fab job of crossing the roads with me (working on road safety as she hates the pram) she’s now refusing to nap (I think she’s teething) now given her a icepop and she’s walking around the living room getting sticky giving me bits......atleast it’s a bit of peace.
