Urghhhh I’m having major worries that we are going to have the most awful weather this summer. We are due to get married in july and stupidly booked an outside venue!!

We had really warm weather about two weeks ago at Easter. YABU.

I am sick to death of the weather in this country! I washed and packed away all my lovely jumpers 2 weeks ago and have had to get them all out again!

I live on the north east coast so we don't always have nice weather anyway but I just get the feeling it's going to be cold this year.

The last couple of years we've had a nicer summer than normal, maybe getting up to 23 a few times but there's plenty of summers where my winter coats are still being worn in July!

May is usually lovely. May is not lovely so far.

Last year nearly killed me, so the longer it holds off this year the better as far as I'm concerned! Saturday it was windy and raining and it made me so happy!

It's grim when you have to wear you winter coat in May. I'm sure it'll get better between now and July though.

I loved last summer. I felt so gloriously happy and WARM.

Today I'm wearing my enormous down jacket, wooley hat, mittens and thick tights - exactly what I've been wearing all winter. But it's MAY!!!

As someone who hates summer I have been researching. Your wedding should be fine for you. We're due to have a super hot summer this year and at least next year too apparently.

May I suggest that you put little hand fans on the seats for your guests, they will be very grateful.

Apparently it’s going to pick up next week - high teens! Bank holiday weekend is supposed to be the start of a Spanish plume - mid 20’s which supposed to go onto to early July at least.

My memories on fb say it was 26 degrees this time last year on south coast

The weather is typically changeable for this time of year. All it takes is a change of wind direction

Last summer was too hot and too long, imo (perimenopausal with fucked heat tokerance here)

I'm getting impatient. I have some squash on my windowsill I want to harden off and plant out but it's not looking likely for a while.

We already had the warmest April days on record just over two weeks ago.

I hope we do have a cooler, wetter summer. Last year was devastating for farmers. But I hope the weather holds for your wedding!
