Urghhhh I’m having major worries that we are going to have the most awful weather this summer. We are due to get married in july and stupidly booked an outside venue!!

Aibu to think this years going to be a wash out 😩

I really hope it is dry on your wedding day. I spent my early August wedding morning in Argos buying all the umbrellas they had as we had thunder and lightening all day. Thank God we had a indoor area but we had specifically chosen the venue because of its outdoor space. I would gave a plan in place incase of rain with the hope that will not need to be used Flowers

Frouby · 08/05/2019 06:37

I got married on 19th May last year.

I spent this week sat outside in a strapless holiday dress trying to get rid of my tan lines where I had been wearing vest tops for a few weeks at the stables, allotment and dog walking. Our wedding day was beautiful (same day as prince harry got hitched).

A load of seedlings got fried in the polytunnel 2 weeks ago to I resowed some. Now I am worried they are too cold.

CylindraceousNicholas · 08/05/2019 06:39

I'm happy about it. I don't like summer or hot weather.

RuggyPeg · 08/05/2019 06:40

I can't tell you how delighted I am that it's cool. I am dreading the summer and if it's the same as last year, I'm moving to the north pole for 3 months.

churchthecat · 08/05/2019 07:00

Pissing down here Sad

If global warming is going to cause Armageddon I'd at least like some nice weather to enjoy the last few years.

BabyDarlingDollfaceHoney · 08/05/2019 07:58

You booked an outdoor wedding in the UK? What were you thinking? Weather is always unpredictable at best.

HBStowe · 08/05/2019 08:02

You need to come up with a plan B you’re happy with, just in case! My sister and I both had July weddings, absolutely poured on both days!

Delatron · 08/05/2019 08:07

It’s usually changeable this time of year. Should pick up end of next week.

To stop your worrying about your wedding you do need a back up/ rainy weather plan. There’s always a chance of rain in July and whilst you can hope for dry/sunny you should have a plan b rather than stressing for months.

Whatafustercluck · 08/05/2019 08:21

May, particularly early May, has always been unpredictable - this is normal British weather. We were spoiled last year. It'll improve - flaming June.

My heating is still on for now though.

mellongoose · 08/05/2019 08:26

May is usually unpredictable. Not normally this chilly though.

My birthday is early June so last year we booked our wedding for the same week as a warm spell has usually settled by then. I was right. Glorious sunshine and hedgerows bursting with colourful flowers. We've had a really difficult year this year (so far) but I smile every time I think about my wedding day 💕

Aroundtheworldin80moves · 08/05/2019 08:46

We were camping at the weekend. We had hail storms and woke to ice on tents.

Delatron · 08/05/2019 09:02

My birthday is mid May and I’ve had every single type of weather; hot and sunny, thunder, cold!

It is currently unseasonably cold for early May but not unusual. I’m pleased we had that lovely weather in mid Feb and over Easter, otherwise it would be truly depressing.

It does look to be warming up next week and there is talk of spells of hot weather. I’m going to order a sun lounger so no doubt I’ll ruin it!

The80sweregreat · 08/05/2019 09:04

i dont like hot weather, but i hope it cheers up for your wedding day op.

we cant win in the UK, but this rain is welcome i think as its been pretty dry up to now. another hot one like last year isnt good for me, but i know lots of people love it hot.,

WillGymForPizza · 08/05/2019 14:24

The whole of Europe is colder than usual if you look at the weather maps. Really strange.

The80sweregreat · 08/05/2019 15:17

We have had hot May and Junes and cold May and Junes in the past - sometimes ' flaming June' is just wet and miserable but by July it does tend to warm up a lot ( or has done last few years anyway)
last two summers have been very hot where i live , unbearably so.
it is what it is as they say! cant do too much about it.

Dontgiveamonkeys1350 · 08/05/2019 15:23

I can’t wait for it to warm up. I have medical problems that are made worse when my cold. I love the warmer weather.

Also... I have lost nearly a stone and half. Bought myself all new size ten or small size summer clothes. And I want to wear them!!!!😂

Weedsnseeds1 · 08/05/2019 16:10

This was my weather today. Just thinking about lighting the fire!!!

Where is the warm weather?!!

DarthLipgloss · 08/05/2019 16:39

Emmabryant123 · 08/05/2019 16:44

MummyCool19 · 08/05/2019 16:49

I hoped you might be in Canada or some far flung place and I could write off your winter weather weeds. I hope that shit doesn't move North.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 08/05/2019 17:13

Next week it should be a lot better. Hopefully :)

TurquoiseAndPurple · 08/05/2019 17:19

Ummm just check the forecast. It's gonna be back next week.
