DS not well so currently in bed with us asleep lying on me! DH is snoring on the other side. I've just decided I'm really hungry and really fancy a cheese and onion toastie! (Have a a couple of drinks this evening and now a bit peckish) so should i wake him up to get me some food or lie here trapped in the middle of the bed starving? I tried texting dds but no reply so guess the whole house is sleeping except me!

😂 I would but I live up to the ‘princess’ in my name

Singlenotsingle · 03/05/2019 23:02

Don't be ridiculous! Shift your lazy arse and make it yourself. DS will be alright.

I can't actually move at mo ds is 6 and lying on me! Dh is sprawled on other side and the cats are across the bottom of bed! It's all very cosy but I am completely trapped!

Hoping I don't need a wee!

I can only imagine my reaction if I was woken up and told to make a cheese toastie....... I really wouldn't do it if I were you.

AnchorDownDeepBreath · 03/05/2019 23:11

I couldn't bring myself to wake DH if he was asleep.... if either slowly remove myself or try and go to sleep.

DM1209 · 03/05/2019 23:13

Now I want a toastie!

Singlenotsingle · 03/05/2019 23:14

Are you going to ask him to do the wee for you as well? Grin

DizzyPhillips · 03/05/2019 23:16

That sounds claustrophobic

Mammyloveswine · 03/05/2019 23:17

I totally would do this Grin

Livpool · 03/05/2019 23:19

I'd wake DH - and I also now want a toastie

TakemedowntoPotatoCity · 03/05/2019 23:19

I would kill you if you actually woke me to make you food just shift ds a bit and go make a sandwich .

SandyY2K · 03/05/2019 23:20

Are you serious. Get your DS off you and go and get a toastie.

Walkingdeadfangirl · 03/05/2019 23:20

Oh come on, you are not a child. Get up and make yourself a sandwich.

BaronessBomburst · 03/05/2019 23:21

Surely you can roll the child off and onto DH? You just have to carefully peel them off and provide another warm body in your place.
You can tell that I have experience here......Grin

MotherOfTheNoise · 03/05/2019 23:22

I really want a toastie now...

I woke DH when I was pregnant at 3 in the morning for an ice lolly. He had to drive to a garage 15 minutes away to get me one. I feel your pain.

YetIWill · 03/05/2019 23:23

Depends how unwell DS is and how likely he is to wake if you move. If he's going to wake and scream the place down, then I'd wake DH for the sandwich!

Could you wake DH to keep an eye on DS while you get up? So DH is at least getting to stay in bed?

I'm assuming DH isn't getting up early for work tomorrow or anything; if he is, then waking him is a bit unfair.

bridgetreilly · 03/05/2019 23:23

You are not trapped. Just get up and do it yourself, or stop whining about it.

OwlinaTree · 03/05/2019 23:24

Well even if he makes the sandwich, you would have to get your ds off you to eat it.

Roll the ds off you onto DH. Make your own sandwich and eat without a small child on top of you!

Fairenuff · 03/05/2019 23:24

6 years old? I thought you were talking about a baby. Just move him next to you, he won't even wake up. Then go and get something to eat.

CheshireChat · 03/05/2019 23:25

Sooo, have you had your toastie yet Grin?

TheSmallAssassin · 03/05/2019 23:26

I'm sorry to tell you that I think it will be really hard to eat a cheese and onion toastie if you have to stay lying down with your son on you and you'll probably get horrible indigestion if you try, so a fantasy toastie is probably the best option right now, anyway.

BrendasUmbrella · 03/05/2019 23:28

Wake him and ask. The report back with the reaction.

You made me hungry by the way, I'm off to make Nutella on toast.

SummersB · 03/05/2019 23:28

I am 100% sure you are not literally trapped!! Seriously!
If you really felt unable to move YWNBU to wake your DH to get his help getting DS off you, then proceed to get up and make yourself a toastie. But to wake him and make him get up and bring you food, only to then proceed to move DS off you so you could actually eat the food is ridiculous, and yes, I would be massively pissed off if my DH did this!

Mythreefavouritethings · 03/05/2019 23:29

If you do wake him up, could he do me a cheese toastie with mustard and a few onions? Yum.

CheshireChat · 03/05/2019 23:29

I want a toastie now Sad
